  1. Just like everybody else who takes time to come read this amazing series, I also am a huge School for Good and Evil fanatic, and one of Soman's greatest fans.

Last year March, after the dreaded Covid-19 struck, I was very very very lucky to meet Soman and ask him two questions because of my amazing book club teacher. As I listened to Soman's story, it struck me right in the heart, because as you were talking about your book process, I had finished writing halfway through my book, which is now in publication.

Then though, as soon as the zoom call ended, I erased my book and wrote it again, because I was in that much of awe of you and how you left a huge mark on book history

Your words turned my book around, and I will say it again to anybody who needs to. If anybody ever asks me who gave me inspiration for my book, my number one author would be you, and that is simply true.

You are the master at making people gasp, stay awake, and beg for the next book, even if it is only three pages long.

If you ever get this message, thank you for making my childhood a thousand times better,

    karrie365.

  3. OMG I'm soooooooooo excited! I can't wait! (BTW Jun your nails look very nice )

  4. Hi Soman and Jun too! I am a HUGE fan of all your books, the fandom, ENTV and you Soman. I can't really say I'm the biggest fan because that award would definitely have to go to Jamie, so I can't really take credit for that, but ever since I first started reading the books right around when book 4 came out I have been a HUGE fan. School for good and evil is my favorite book series I've ever read and I love Ever Never TV . I've watched ever single episode starting from the beginning. Also on episode 200 you forgot to throw a 200th episode bonanza like you did for episode 100. :( But thats ok! The movie can just be the delayed ep 200 celebration. I really love how there are so many different characters that all have their own diverse personalities in the books. But Hester and Reena are definitely my two favorite characters and I think the casting for Tedros and Hort were PERFECT. But anyways also I loved the movie news and I love how you have the youtube channel and blog because I think that's a huge factor that made me constantly follow the series even after I've read them. The puppet ENTV episodes were literally my favorite. I wish Ramone was back :'( even if you kinda didn't always like him Soman. But Jun is amazing too and the nails look AMAZING. Soman I think you are one of the best authors ever and I always vote School for good and Evil for good reads choice awards even over the Rick Riordan books. ;) Although I do love those too. I know that Beasts and Beauty will be just as amazing and I am extremely excited to read it.

  5. As this contest is about who your biggest fan is, I am not going to say that I am not your biggest fan...but perhaps there are people out there that are bigger fans than me. This is likely, but I would like to explain why I love your books anyway.

A good book can transport you into another world...make you cry for the characters or feel scared for them. A good book is exactly what the School for Good and Evil is. I first saw the School for Good and Evil book in a bookstore, of course. I read it, and I loved it. I was about eight at the time. I remember reading A World Without Princes and The Last Ever After on a chair in the library. I didn't understand them as much as I do now, but I recognized that they were amazing. I also remember when in 4th grade we did weather drills and had to sit in the hallway for about 5 hours, I read SGE. At that time I was not absorbed in the books as I am now, but I still had them as part of my world.

Two years ago I saw someone reading A Crystal Of Time, and that's when I realized that there were more books. I had read the Ever Never Handbook, but I had not known about the Camelot Years series. I remember vividly the day I received both A Crystal Of Time and One True King. One True King is probably one of my favorite books, they day I got my copy I sat down and read until I finished it (It took perhaps until 1 or 2 am).

The point is, I am connected to these books. But I also am an aspiring writer. I have written a few short stories, some fan fiction, and started multiple novels. I also love writing poetry and have written multiple short and one long play. It is amazing to see a normal person achieve this much. Most authors that I have read do not have YouTube channels or engage with their fans the way you do, and so that is very special. Recently I watched a few ENTV videos again and realized that I missed reading SGE. I am currently rereading OTK for the 3rd time - a very low number because it has only been one year since it's been released - and I have read the other books who knows how many times.

Generally, one can tell how much I love a book based on the quality of it. As in, the books in the worst shape are the ones I love the most because I have read them the most. And I have to say, my SGE books are not in the best condition...I honestly don't know how it happens.

I have consistently tried to rope my siblings into the SGE universe. I read out loud the entire "School for Good and Evil" book for my 7 year old twin brother and sister, and have convinced my other sister to read the entire series. Somehow they're not as committed as I am, but perhaps it has something to do with age?

I think perhaps I have written too much, and I don't know how much sense it will make, but I hope you can see that I appreciate everything you have brought to this world. I cannot wait to read Beasts and Beauty eventually, and I hope that you can feel some of the love I have for this series in this comment.

    With love,

  6. This contest is about who Soman's biggest fan is. Of course, I absolutely love these books, but...I can't count myself as the biggest fan. I haven't been here since the start (but that's because I was five when the first book came out), I haven't memorized every detail of every book. I even have a book I don't like as much as the others. So no, I'm no the biggest fan ever, but I am a huge one. Even so, I'm still going to write about my love and journey through these books.

I first started really loving these books in fourth grade when I would read after I finished all my work. I soon started rushing through just so I could find out what happened next. Then my soon-to-be best friend and I started talking about the books and how amazing they were. Your writing, your creativity, and your characters brought us together. I will be forever grateful for that, even if our friendship fades as we grow older (which I obviously hope it doesn't). I had to refrain from reading the first chapters of A Crystal of Time in the back of my Quests for Glory book because it would drive me mad only having a glimpse of the new adventures. Right now, I'm reading The Last Ever After for the sixth time. Whenever I was feeling depressed, happy, bored, or really anything else, I would start reading, and it sucked me into a wonderful world full of love, laughs, and tears. My aforementioned BFF and I even started writing the "unofficial seventh book" because we didn't want your beloved characters' journeys to end. (We haven't continued it in a long time, but it's the thought that counts, right?) I even wanted 'Because You Love to Hate Me' just so I could read your story (though I did thoroughly enjoy the others). I obsessed over every detail I could possibly remember when I finished a book (my dreams were replayed scenes from the books, too!) and wanted to read the next right away, which I couldn't do after Quests for Glory, because you were Evil and made me wait an entire year for the next. But I can truthfully say, every single part was worth the wait.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say through all this is, I love your books. I love your characters. And I love you, Soman. Even if you don't count me as your biggest fan, I just hope you know every word I said is true.

  7. I really need to order one of these books!!! They look Amazing!!!

  8. Personally I don't know if anybody would count me as somans biggest fan, because I know many other people that are very big fans. But I still would think that I'm a huge fan. I don't wanna brag but I thought his books were so incredible I read a few of them in one day never leaving the couch and I'm absolutely positive that beasts and beauty will be just as good, if not even better. I can only hope that my bookworm/theater kid-ness and this simple truth is enough to get me one of the first copies of beast and beauty.

    With love soman,

    Ginnyfan1 <3

P.S. I tried so hard to make this a perfect thing cause I knew Soman was gonna read it. :o

  9. I don't know if I can count myself as Soman's biggest fan, but when I got books 4 and 5 I stayed up until six in the morning for the next two days to finish them. My brother and I both read them and we would always talk about which parts we were at and our favorite jokes in the books. So don't know if I'm the biggest fan, but I definitely appreciate Soman's work :)
