My Ranking Points
Adrienne looked up. She saw a golden light, pulsing spinning around a rectangular object. She stood at the top of a cliff, reaching for the light… It called to her. She stood on her toes, reaching, reaching, but it was hopeless. Adrienne slipped off the edge. She screamed, and ****** out her arms.
She woke up with a start. Adrienne gulped for air as her gaze went for a spin and straightened. She got out of bed and tried not to fall. Oh, how she wanted that ticket. She needed that ticket. She desperately needed to go the the School for Good and Evil, to be an Ever, to fit in with her family at last. Adrienne looked in the mirror and grimaced. Her long, mousy, tangled hair was in a messy knot in the back of her head. Adrienne stared at herself, noting her eyes were still too big and to much of a pale blue, her skin was still white, except her cheeks, which were pink, and her body lacked the curves her mother desired for all her children.
Adrienne sighed, pulled her nightgown down again, and climbed back into bed. She knew she would dream the dream again. It wouldn’t stop. Not unless she got that ticket. She needed to be good enough, for her family to accept her.
Should I continue? @kennasei and I are both going to continue weekly (or daily is we have time) if people want us to.
Thank you! The next chapter should be coming out in the next 2 days.
