hey im sorry i know im not supposed to b asking questions in here but what happen to the group where everybody used to post and memes and stuff sry ive been gone for a few months
@THECOVEN4EVER let’s talk about the bookclub
ok i was thinking a week long read-a-thon would be good the speadsheet idea was good to but would you be able to see peoples emal??
and you would have to make the spreadsheet if you don’t mind because i’ve never used that sort of thing.
okay here are all of my ideas
the rat should be a week long to see how many books we can read, whoever wins should at least get a shout out if we can’t send them something, we should have reading challenges like, read a book with red on the…[Read more]
Ooooh all of those sound great. Yep, I’ll start making the spreadsheet. I’d love to do it monthly! Ok so, theme? I vote dystopian. As for name, let’s just call it the read-a-thon! I’m not sure what you mean by sprints? Do you mean tag everyone and say, “Try to read 15 minutes of your book now!”. As for challenges, that’s a good idea! For each book…[Read more]
i like the points thing but i don’t really own any dystopian books so maybe we should drop the theme if thats ok because that way it would also make it easier to make a tbr. and i will start makeing the challenges but how many do you think there should be i think there should be seven since it’s a week long rat so there would be a challenge a day
7 sounds great! How about a fantasy theme then? I’ll tag book club, can you make a post on open chat?
1.Read a book in one day
2. Try the first chapter of two books and choose one
3. Read a book that’s out of your comfort zone
4. Read the last book you bought
5. Predicted five star read
6.read a book with a great first line
7. Read the first or last book in a series
8.Read 7 books
here are the challenges what do you think?
Ok so I was thinking, what if you got 3 points for every 100 pages read? Because if we use books as a means of points, then someone who reads 5 100 page books could beat someone who read 1 700 page book, which isn’t fair.
Yep just finished! Sorry it took me a while to figure some stuff out. Here’s the link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Sm_qK8ZOIKklgbRX-F76ldxvA30W1t4F_OL1nJxEcM0/edit?usp=sharing
Recording books and everything, so each user can keep track of it on their own. Will you add this months challenges to the challenge section?
@THECOVEN4EVER i’m not going to leave but i think i might take a two or three week break just to have a break from the website and i’m probably not going to do the book club i’m going to focus on be a loyal member to yours before i start my own so i’ll see you when i come back, friends?
