Finally trial by tale arrived. The contestants were placed in the forest one by one. Lavender watched as each of her friends walked into the forest until only her and Asher remained. Then a trumpet sounded it was her turn she stepped through the gates. Inside the forest it was deadly calm there wasn’t even a faint breeze to rustle the azure leaves on the sapphire trees. Luckily Lavender was light on her feet. She stalked through the forest looking for a place to hide. She would much rather attack someone but she remembered the rules evil attacks good defends. She finally found a suitable willow tree whose branches were thick and leafy. She scrambled to the top most branch and sat to wait. Soon she heard a rustling in the willow branches a figure was emerging she had two choices mogrify and run away or stay and fight. Soon the person came into full view it was a girl from evil. She was covered in pimples and brandishing a sword. The girl seemed surprised to find a ever pointing a arrow at her head. She surveyed her options then sighed and dropped her flag. Soon Melody, and three nevers had also quit. THere were still nine other people in the forest.
Stomping feet warned Lavender it was time to move. She quickly turned into a bee and flew away over the heads of the troop of evil boys. Soon Lavender was on the other side of the forest tucked away as a bunny. When she took a peek at the scoreboard the only people left were her, Sky, Asher, and a boy from evil. Feeling the need to move again Lavender hopped into her clothes and changed back to human. It was time to stop hiding it was time to hunt a flash signaled her that Sky had dropped her flag. As she headed of into the forest she contemplated who to eliminate first but she didn’t have to make a decision Asher dropped his flag. It was down to her and the boy from evil. She tip toed through the forest until she heard the rustling of branches and saw the boy from evil searching for her in the trees.
“Drop the flag” she said. The boy turned to face her weapon ready.
“I don’t think I’m going to do that” he said. It was a face off neither would move. Then Lavender saw it the boys flag sticking out of his boot. With a flying leap she grabbed it and threw it on the ground. His face showed shock as he realized what she did.
