Ok here goes chapter 6! Chapter 6, Circus of talents: Melanie was sitting uncomfortably in the hall, where Lesso and Dovey were going to give a speech. “So as most of you already know, the circus of talents is in three days.” Dovey said. “And let’s beat good this time, evil!” Lesso yelled.
‘ALRIGHT!” screamed Dovey. “Any questions?” Lesso asked. Melanie raised her hand. “Can I…sing?” she asked. “Well, if the lyrics are grotesque enough, I guess so.” Lesso said with a shrug. Melanie spent all that night trying to find a song with lyrics that would have evil win the circus. ” Melanie sleeeep already!” Hester
complained. “I have chocolate, If you want!” Dot said cheerfully. “Dot, you ALWAYS have chocolate!” Anadil said. “Ok, ok, stay up if you want.” Hester said, and then the three witches went to sleep again. Then – Melanie found it! She went to sleep, hoping that she would blow the students away.
During the circus of talents, Melanie couldn’t help but worry. Then, the announcer said “Representing the nevers, MELANIE ANDERSON! and representing the evers, JOHNNY JEFFERSON!” “OH NO! i’m going against JOHNNY?????” Melanie thought as she strutted down the stairs. Johnny read a poem about how most nevers were cruel and cold hearted but he was sure that one never had a pure heart. Melanie literally melted, hoping that person was her. Then she went up and sang.
“Looking at me through you window. You had your eye out for a little. I’LL CUT YOU UP AND MAKE YOU DINNER.”
All the nevers cheered at these lyrics
“You’ve reached the end. You are the winner.”
Melanie decided to skip to the chorus.
“Running through the parking lot, chased me and he wouldn’t stop. Tag. you’re it. Tag, tag, you’re it. ”
Some evers shuddered.
“Grabbed my hand, pushed me down, took the words right out my mouth, Tag, you’re it. Tag, tag, you’re ittttttttttttttttttt”
The nevers gave her a standing ovation. “Congratulations miss Melanie! You won!”
the usher said. “the circus! evil won! evil won!” Then, Melnie was given a trophy.
“Thank you!” she cried. “ugh. come on Johnny, let’s go!” said one of his friends. But Johnny couldn’t stop looking at her.
Nice chapter! Though I wouldn’t expect Professor Dovey and Lady Lesso to be so against each other, since they’re friends. Also, the School Master’s enchantments are still there, so the School Master still judges who the Circus winner is. But good job! 🙂
