I’ve been lurking for a while and have finally decided to return to writing here. (yeah, this is kinda stupid considering i’ve announced my return time and time again.)
I don’t know exactly what I’ll write, or if I’m even ok enough at it to be able to fully convey the story that I would like to tell, but I know that I want to grow as a…[Read more]
Welcome back. Can’t wait to read it! I’m going through sort of the same struggle myself, leaving the forums then coming back, leaving again, constantly starting over my stories… It’s nice to see someone who can relate. Best of wishes.
I paced about my dorm, clothes and various items strewn about. Organization was not my forte, and since no one else was going to sleep in my room, what was the point? The sunlight streaming from the window was a stark contrast to the dark thoughts roaming my mind. Why was my mother at school? It wasn’t like…[Read more]
“Now. Both of you. Go back to your dorms.” Dovey commanded, looking over her nose at us.
“Professor? There are three of us-”
“Pardon me, Angelica. You and Cassian. Shoo.”
I watched as they exited the office, heart thumping as I processed what had just happened. Danny was gone, and, while Dovey explained why he…[Read more]
Even though Westina waited only a bridge away, it felt like the longest bridge I had ever taken. My adrenaline was pumping, blood running at the prospect of seeing her again.
Then again, I had to rescue her with Angelica. So much for being a daring prince.
There’s nothing wrong with her, really. She and I…[Read more]
Hey, I was just wondering if writing a story that was set outside of the SGE universe is allowed here. If anyone could answer this, it’d be greatly appreciated.
Actually, I don’t know, but that would be really cool!
I write those all the time here-I actually just wrote a short story on here called Trapped inside my mind. So I write Non-SGE related stuff ALL THE TIME! go ahead. 🙂
(Maybe) Unpopular Opinion(?): I sort of disliked Nicola because she always seemed to have the solution to everything and it kinda ruined the mood at times. Don’t get me wrong, she’s a good character, but I wouldn’t mind if she didn’t know the answer at times. It seems like Soman put her in there just so she would be convenient. She’s still a great…[Read more]
I respect your opinion. I agree that Hort needs a healthy love life -cough- Sophie -cough- and she is a great POC.
Yes, in a way I agree but not quite. Nicola’s smart-mouthing is part of her, or she wouldn’t be Nicola. But then again, she sometimes does seem just to be there for an easy solution to a problem or plot-hole.
Yeah, she kinda overshadows everyone else, and she’s pretty much dating Hort. There goes my theory of Sophie and Hort…😢
I mean, she didn’t RUIN it because, as you said, it was never a thing, but she did make it impossible for it to happen. I wasn’t being serious, you get that, right? I made a comment that I don’t actually mean literally. But anyway, if ships become canon you can’t seriously ship them anyway. You are entitled to your own opinion, of course, but I am…[Read more]
Hophie isn’t actually as toxic as you make it out to be (that might just be me because I’ve shipped hophie for so long. I may have a slight bias.) I do agree it is at least a little toxic. Sophie treads all over Hort and only realizes she needs him when he’s gone. Hort doesn’t stand up for himself a lot. Maybe when Sophie and Hort develop as…[Read more]
It is a very one-sided relationship, but you forget that Sophie will most likely develop as a character more in A Crystal of Time. I’m not saying Hophie is end-game, I’m just stating that Hophie will probably seem more like a possibility in the end. And yes, Hophie itself is a toxic relationship as of late. Honestly, its just differing opinions.
Of course, I am not a normal person, and I read way too many fanfictions, and I tend to only ship things that don’t happen, so I always lean toward ships that will never/can’t work. “Toxic”, if you want to call it that. I don’t know. I’m just weird, okay?
People have their own romantic preferences and opinions. It’s alright if someone doesn’t share the same view as you do. Just don’t get too confrontational about it.
It’s not that I think it isn’t toxic. It’s that I think it IS toxic. Okay no that’s not what I think nvm. I get that it’s toxic. I get that it will never happen. I get that Sophie only wanted him to be her bodyguard. I never said that I didn’t think it was toxic! I SAID that I shipped them, toxic or not. Sophie is really shallow. I get it. Hort…[Read more]
Er.. that was a very matter-of-factly way of saying it.
Well okay. But you know, don’t assume someone is saying something if they don’t actually say it. I probably should’ve worded it better, I know that.
“Oh- Sor- I mean- er- grr..?” I flinched away from the hulking figure, remembering where I was.
“Did you almost say sorry? Who ARE you?” The figure stepped closer.
I was totally dead meat. I would never see Cassian, Danny, Angelica, or Dovey ever again! Oh, ****. Dovey. If I wasn’t dead meat already, my…[Read more]
I didn’t sleep at all last night, which was unlike me. I’m usually a very heavy sleeper. I should know. My mom used to slap me across the face with her hair whenever I didn’t wake up on time.
That’s besides the point.
Westina was in Evil, and I would never see her again. Except for at lunch. And forest…[Read more]
Hello! My name’s McKenna, and it’s very nice to speak to you, Soman! I was just wondering if you ever thought about SGE becoming a musical. Of course, there may be a few rewrites here and there, but overall, I think it’d be a great contender for a musical. (the star will be sophie ofc- I’m joking)
And if you have thought about SGE becoming a…[Read more]
I think the story is too complicated and intense to become a musical – too many twists and reveals. Plus to make all those magical characters it would cost a lot of money to make machines like that. And how would they switch from good to evil quickly with all the classrooms and such. And Sophie’s scream/singing talent thing? We wouldn’t want…[Read more]
When I spotted the girl with a broken heart and copper eyes, my heart weeped for her.
She was hurting. Indefinitely.
I slowly approached Westina.
“You- Westina, we shouldn’t’ve come here,” I started. I didn’t care if Danny or Angelica heard me. I was speaking to Westina, not them.
She seemed almost…[Read more]
