Welcome to Question of the Day!!!!!!
Before we start, I would like to give credit to @cocostar and @outdoorpoet for giving me this idea. They made the #SAVETHESITE come into plan. For those of you wondering, save the site is a bunch of fun activities planned by the SGE site members, and it’s purpose is to have fun and bring us back together as a community (did I get that right coco?) Again big thanks to coco and poet for starting #SAVETHESITE!!!!!!!This question is inspired by an Instagram post I saw earlier today so here ya go!!!!
Question of the Day: Are you the kind of person that watches the movies before the books, or the books before the movies?
I’m definitely the person who reads the books before the movies. And I usually always like the books better(they just are!)
Ok definitely the kind of person who reads the books before the movie like always! I hate the twilight movies because I have read the books and they are like 10 times better trust me to everyone who says twilight s.ucks
books before movies. to be completely honest the books have more to read and you can always flip back. (Movies, sometimes no.) Also books don’t ruin my perspective of what things look like because it can look a certain way to anyone! (For movies there are less than five ways to see something)
Always the book!! The books are always so much better anyway
Ooh please tag!
Books before movies, imo. I like the feel of reading the book first rather than watching the screen- also, I really like seeing how the books capture so much detail!! (well some of them XD) Imo, books can be taken in many different perspectives, and you have more of your own image of what’s going on. I like movies too though, and this is just my personal opinion!
i’m the type of person to read the books and never watch the movie
i still haven’t watched harry potter 😳
Totally books before movies
Mostly cause I like finding the difference between them plus the books are always better
It really depends. I don’t have a preference! *BTW this is more like Question of the Night its 8 PM LOL*
Hmm okie depends on which book cause the 6th movie is better than the 6th book but the 2nd book is better than the 2nd movie
When I read the second book for the first time I was properly scared I was afraid to go to the bathroom. It was 2nd book combined with a certain episode of doctor who that concerning spiders…😂
I was afraid they would come crawling up the u bend and bite my bum!😂😂😂😂
I almost always read the book first then watch the movie. I have occasionally watched the movie first because I haven’t had time to read the book. Or it’s a movie that my sister wants to see and so I go see it too.
I read the books first, but I normally like them both about equally.
Except for Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit. I love the movies, but the books bore me to death.
books before movies, my parents usually refuse to let us watch the movie until after we’ve read the book
My dad tried to make me do that with LOTR and Hobbit, but I refused.
Books before movies all the time! I’ve never watched a movie first if I think I’ll want to read the book which is probably a bad thing because I’m always missing out on movies but the books are just so much better
The original (usually)
For example some things were a book made into a movie, and some were movies made into books (for example Annie)
There are a few exceptions tho: I haven’t read Oliver Twist or A Christmas Carol but I have watched the movies. And can I just say a Christmas carol goes wrong was legit the best thing to ever happen to me u all gotta watch it it’s epic😂😂😂
The book is better than the movie in some cases,*percy jackson movies cough cough* and I want to know what the source material is really like since many scenes are cut from movies. Also, I like to imagine the characters in my own way before seeing a fixed description in the movie. I prefer reading books more so that could be it but there are some exceptions to me like.. LOTR? I was planning to read the whole trilogy before I watched the movies but I’m only done with book one for now.
90% of the time I’ve already read the book before the movie comes out, so…
I almost always read the books before watching the movie, because reading gives you the power to imagine the characters and the story world, but when you watch a movie, you’re seeing someone else’s vision for that book instead of your own, and so it dims your own imagination of the story and can steal some of the joy from reading. Plus, watching the movie means you already know the plot of the book, which is never fun.
*is so late*
definitely books before movies. there are so many scenes that get cut from the movies sometimes, and the books have more detail.
EVERYBODY HAS TO WATCH A CHRISTMAS CAROL GOES WRONG RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
