What are the reasons why you love SGE? To me, I have a lot of reasons and it’s impossible to put them all here. I just loved the first lines of every book, the characters (how they’re imperfect and flawed but still comes out perfect to me), the way the book is written, the plot, Sophie and Hester’ hilarious line exchange (Sophie,” I feel like I’m…[Read more]

Yeah! The story is hypnotizingly Intense, and once you start, you CAN’T stop. And the most amazing part of that: Right in the middle of the story, just when it looks like the happy ending is about to come…the story suddenly takes a sharp turn in the wrong direction, blowing it more and more off-course until almost all the pages have gone by and…[Read more]

something attracted me to sge, and i didn’t know what. it was the best book I had read, and still is, but for some reasons when I read any others of the same genre and theme it just doesn’t seem to give me the same thrills. It’s the closest to happy i have been, and I can’t figure out why… maybe it’s the suspense, or the lack of watering down…[Read more]

Yeah! The hypnotizing intensity is almost unmatchable. It has the amazingly powerful ability to grab readers by their necks and hypnotize them and s uck them into its depths so they will never escape.

Too many to list, but a few:

        1) characters completely contradict the stereotypes in a very good way – a modern, different kind of fairytale
        2) perfect for all readers of any age
        3) lots of hidden messages and lessons to learn from it
        4) makes you see traditional fairytale characters in a new light (BOOK. THREE.)
        5) relatable, lovable characters,…[Read more]

          And how could I forget:

          15) HILARIOUS DIALOGUE!!! (Sophie & Agatha, Hester & Sophie and Agatha & Tedros in particular!)

boomboompancakes replied 4 years, 1 month ago

THANK YOU, Shona! You have highlighted soooooo many reasons why we all love SGE! Although with that list of Agatha’s virtues, I think bravery, intelligence, and loyalty should be added.

boomboompancakes replied 4 years, 1 month ago

Also, one of the hilarious exchanges between Tedros and Agatha:
“Well, I don’t have the faintest clue how to be a princess!”
“OBVIOUSLY! WHY DO YOU THINK I LIKE YOU SO MUCH?”
          HA HA HAAAA! Ditto.^
