My Ranking Points
Dear Soman, as you have written several books yourself, I wanted to ask for your guidance. I’m on my eighth rewrite of my novel, because it’s just not been good enough in the past, (So many mistakes!), and I’m rewriting a chapter that I’m finding quite tiresome to get through. It’s not that it’s bad, it’s just boring. It’s completely necessary to my plot, but I’m finding it difficult to get through. Have you ever had this problem? And if so, how did you fix it? Thanks! 😊
You can read about it here @Darkfire2010: https://www.wattpad.com/story/172998226-the-purest-heart. 😊
this may not help but as an aspiring author myself, i’d just tell you to keep going. especially if you get to a boring bit – just push through. i always start rewrites by picking out what i want to keep and what i don’t. maybe practice on some older documents you don’t particularly care about just to see how it works and what works for you
Thank you very much, @Rosegoldtiger1005, that really helps! And I’m past the boring bit now, so from here I should be fine. 😀
@Why-wont-you-work-for-me, I have written a book, and it’s currently undergoing another rewrite, but I’d be happy for you to read what I have at the moment on Wattpad. My username is 1Lilith_Green1 and my book is called ‘The Purest Heart’. ❤️
As a troubled writer myself, this hasn’t happened to me before. But I think I can help. Try and turn a plot twist in to this part of the story (If you haven’t already) This might make it more interesting to write, because your mind will be thinking ahead, and this will help you get through the boring stuff.
I hope this could help with your problem. 🙂
