Waffles are better, because they aren’t as thick, and they’re an easy vehicle for, well, anything you want to put on your waffles because of all the little dents. Pancakes can be a little dry or doughy because they’re solid.

I like pancakes more than waffles–but only if they’re chocolate chip or with syrup. They’re flat…and, um…round…and you can squish them up into a taco and eat them, and if you have whipping cream and strawberries–almost never for me lol– then you can put them on the pancake and then wrap it all up and it’s so good…and they’re easy to make–I think, I’ve never actually made them but my brother does and he makes them delicious, and he’s younger so–and so fluffy and yummy ok I’m gonna stop now I can talk about this for hOuRs–;)
And Crayon–cran or cray-yawn…hm…I call them crans sometimes and cray-yawns other times, it depends. R=I think they’re not really a ‘correct’ pronunciation because everyone says things slightly differently, and everyone made everything sound the same, where’d be the fun in that?

2. ITS CRAN
okay pancakes are obviously better, they’re significantly easier to make and just in general are easier to mix with other things.
first of all, you can cook pancakes on literally any hot sheet of metal. waffles, however, need a very specific type of frying thing (idk what its called don’t attack me for this) which is obviously not as accessible to everyone. also, pancakes can be very customizable, in size, thickness, add-ins and other things. again, waffles are restricted by the frying thing (plssss my memory isn’t working)
also, how many waffles combos do you know of? chicken and waffles? anything else? mhm. pancakes can be substituted for tortillas, bread, noodles, and much more.
IN CONCLUSION pancakes are superior

~A little essay~
Why Waffles are Superior to Pancakes
by moi
Waffles are superior because they have more capacity for toppings, are more original in texture than pancakes, and retain their quality longer.
The little squares in waffles can hold fresh blueberries and raspberries that you can pop in each pocket yourself, whereas if you want blueberry pancakes, you will just get tiny berries that you can barely taste through the thick dough that taste strange because they have been frozen and then defrosted before they enter your mouth.
While it is hard to spread butter and maple syrup into waffle squares, once you get it in, the toppings stay put until you finish them. But with pancakes, there is only so much syrup they can take before it slides right off and drips onto your plate.
Anyone can make a pancake – flour, butter, and sugar. But waffles require the finest skill to get the crispy edges and square grid texture just right. Belgian waffles are world-famous, and pancakes are just… pancakes. A good pancake will be at best, light and fluffy, but at worst, it will taste like rubber. And wait, there’s more! Waffles are not just limited to breakfast. You can eat Dutch waffles as a snack or for dessert, and you can eat them again the next day as a waffle cone with your ice cream. You could eat waffles all day and they would still be considered a breakfast, lunch, and dinner food. You know, your typical waffles in the morning, then waffles with almond butter and jam for lunch or a waffle pizza (it’s a thing), and have breakfast for dinner in the evening.
You know how when you pour syrup on pancakes, it becomes soggy? Sog no more with the waffle! The hardness of the denser waffle helps it retain its texture for a long time while it holds syrup, while the pancake’s spongy nature causes it to quickly soften and become waterlogged with syrup.
In conclusion, waffles are superior to pancakes.
Thank you. ~end of little essay~

Hello and welcome everyone! I’m Jess and I’ll be hosting an activity for @outdoorpoet @effie and @pencilpeytie ‘s awesome meet and greet idea. Please read this post all the way through for there is a lot of important information
So basically we’re going to have a mini debate (not political though). I will pose a question and all of you will be split into two or more teams based on your opinion. Your job is to try and convince as many people as possible to switch sides/opinions. I will post a google form asking what your opinion was before and if it has changed at the bottom of this post and anytime after approximately 48 hours, I’ll ask all of you to fill it out and I will announce which side has won! Remember to keep this polite and respectful, it’s just for fun and a chance to talk and get to know others. I will step in if things start to escalate.
time for the question reveal!
This question is very controversial and has been asked countless times, we have yet to decide on the answer. Which is better: waffles or pancakes? you may either advocate for waffles, pancakes, or if you dont like either, crepes. Let the games begin! the google form will be linked below as well as in the comments. If the waffles/pancakes debate gets dry, feel free to move on to this question: how is the word crayon pronounced? Cran or cray-yawn? That will also be asked as a bonus question in the form. Have fun!
