I finished OTK quite some time ago.
I think everyone who has read the book knows exactly the name of the chapter in which Dovey dies. Whenever I think of it (What Makes your Heart Beat?) my stomach churns and I feel so depressed. Anyone else feel the same? (IDK i feel like i’ve known the characters for so long and to have them die is just… sad.…[Read more]
Omg yes. When Dovey died I started to cry, I would have loved to see her walk Aggie down the aisle😭
That’s the one…
I was just like nooo…when she died.
It seems all the mentor figures die and the others live.
Hi Soman, I forced my dad to listen to the whole story of SGE, top to bottom. At the end he asked me, “So what is the real difference between Good and Evil? Hort is Evil and he loved Sophie. So the difference isn’t love.
You tell me that Good and Evil characters got together to maintain the balance between good and evil. But what would be so bad…[Read more]
Well, Evil’s love in the third was built on hate. Hort loved Sophie unconditionally, which means he would love her as a friend of she didn’t feel the same way.
If there was no evil, then there wouldn’t be good, either, because you can’t have an opposite without something to oppose it. Does that make sense?
Using Evil to help Good is completely…[Read more]
I think that the beginning people didn’t think evil could find love because of prejudice but obviously that wasn’t true. To answer your other question, without evil there isn’t good and without good there isn’t evil. Does that make sense? You have to have the light to have the darkness and vise versa.
@coolk226
You explained the good/evil question better than me. 😀
I understand what you’re saying, but no one has answered the main question: What is the true difference between good and evil? If not for the Hort and Sophie example, the Sherriff of Nottingham loved Maid Marian and croaked those last words as he died. Is that Evil? Or Good? And if Evil only has love built on hate, what about the coven? And Japeth…[Read more]
The true difference between good and evil is that Evil will only fight for others if they have good reason.
And unconditional love isn’t necessarily true love, seeing as it is often unrequited. True love is when an unbreakable connection is felt from both sides.
Right. Hort loves Sophie, Sophie loves Hort.
And won’t Good fight for others with good reason too?
@evergirl1235
Fighting for others comes NATURALLY for good, whilst evil will only do so if it benefits them.
As for Hophie, I have no idea.
And can you not get annoyed at me please? I’m just trying to answer your questions here.
SPOILER ALERT:
OTK was probably one of the best books in the series honestly. Most series dont end as well as this series did. It was like the best feeling when Sophie realized she loves Hort. I hated how Hort was always pushed to the side. Anyone feel the same?
Actually no, I disagree. I think Hophie should NOT have happened. And before you come at me telling me that hort “loved Sophie all along,” let me explain. Hort didn’t love Sophie, he had a creepy obsession over her. Multiple times, he in a way, assaulted her. It doesn’t matter if he didn’t know it was assaulting, as Sophie told him to stop, and…[Read more]
Hi sophieforever33, I understand what you are saying.
But I feel differently about Hophie. I believe Hort loved Sophie from the very beginning. He had this unconditional love for her. He never assaulted her. He was just insecure and didn’t know how to express his feelings for her. He would never hurt Sophie.
Secondly, Sophie and Hort would go…[Read more]
I’m just sad that Sophie lost her memory. Now if Agatha and Tedros and the others need her, she’ll be like she was in the first book. Like, oh I just want my prince and true love and blahblahblah. I don’t hate her, I just want her to get her memory back. LOL. Will definitely read OTK the moment it’s out.
Same! I was like preserve it read a chapter a day now I’m like no way read it al in the same day.
I will literally lock myself in my room with water and food to last me 24 hours and putting a “do not disturb or else” sign on my door. I will refuse to leave until I finish
Would you mind if I can join you too because I doubt that my little sis will let me read peacefully. 👍🏻😁
Hi Soman,
I was wondering…
Did you ever have help on writing your story? Did a family member or friend help you with ideas? Or was writing the series ‘solo?’
Thanks
Wait so Hester and Anadil are… a thing? That’s what I thought and I tried to convince my sister it’s true but she demands me to give her evidence. Can anyone give me like a line or two from the book abt how they’re a thing? LOL I’m too lazy…
I can’t remember it exactly but I think it was in book 6.
“Oh, I’m your girlfriend now?” Anadil asked.
“Girl friend. Two different words.”
“Didn’t sounds like that,”
I think it went something like that. Idk.
“Hester, I swear to God, if you die and leave me with Dot, I’ll find my way into **** just to kill you again.” -Anadil
“How romantic.” -Hester
