My Ranking Points
Hello, everyone! It is International Women’s Day!
Today, I would like to applaud all the amazing women that have helped make this world a better place, famous or fictional or not.
First off, I would like to give a huge round of applause to almost every female character in the Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and School for Good and Evil series’. They have helped some many girls grow confidence. And let’s not forget stories like the Red Queen (Evangeline Samos and Diana Farley are top class) and Keepers of the Lost Cities (Sophie, forget everything. You do *not* need a boy), plus hundreds of more stories that have inspired me. And let’s not forget wonderful women like Agent Peggy Carter from Captain America, Natasha Romanov (or Black Widow), and Wonder Woman. You all make me so happy.
For my real people, can I just give a hug round of thanks to wonderful scientists like Marie Curie, Queen Elizabeth I and II, Amelia Earheart, all those women fliers for the U.S (called WASPS) and from the Soviet Union (called Night Witches) that fought against Germany in WWII. Thank you Hope Solo, and Alex Morgan, Frida Kahlo, and Emma Waston for giving me the guts that you all had. Eleanor Roosevelt, Malala Yousafzai, and the people at the Rejected Princesses website (which, you should all check out. It has amazing stories about real women!). Know that at the very least, you have all inspired one girl to try to do her best.
And one of my favorite things. My own characters. Some of you may know them, some of you may not. So let me tell you about them.
Adora Easton. First OC for an RP I made when coming back to the site. It set off a spiral of meeting the people I know now. Thank you, Adora. For everything.
Emma Mallory and Maria Cortez. These two girls are in a story I hope to publish someday, that I haven’t done anything with on the site yet. They have taught me that it is okay to be yourself, no matter who you are.
Viviana Rose. You were in a story I made with a few others. You always make me laugh, and if you were real, you would know, since you were an Empath.
Marcella of Ravenswood. In a comment chain rp. You are snarky, and rude, and witty, and sarcastic, and amazing. What would I do without you?
Kendra Victors. You were in one KOTLC rp, and now you are in another, slightly changed. I could never get rid of you.
Aoife! One of my new girls in an rp. She was pre set. I don’t think I could have chosen someone better for me to rp with.
Krystal Prowel and Vafara. Oh, girls. Krystal won me one contest, and it gave me such a confidence boost. I promise I’m still writing about you two.
Talia. You are so amazing and sweet. You are bubbly and bouncing, and amazing.
Kara Samos. One of my most kick **** characters. Princess of the Mirror Realms. Defeating death at every turn. You have crawled out of the very pits of the Underworld for your loved ones. I love you.
Abby Rodger and Katie Chestovich. You two girls are usually very different. Very amazing.
And Claire. Claire Rebecca Odair. You started a spark in me. She was originally my character in a Hunger Games RP with powers, and she had a romantic spark with Blondieonfire’s character, Landen Knite. We wanted to write further about them, and made a whole fun story. Claire Rebecca Odair had been cheated on by her ex boyfriend, and abused in many ways. She finally, with her friends’ help, got out of it, and continued growing to stand up for all people who were in the situation she was in, telling women along the way that they were powerful, beautiful, kick **** people with lots of flaws, and that’s perfectly okay. SHe has inspired me to stand up for women’s rights and domestic abuse, to be an advocate for girls and boys in need, and to help anyone that needs it. Thank you so much, Claire Odair. You will always hold a treasured place in my heart.
And all my friends on here! Ruby, Audrey, Cove, Blondie, Raven, Lyn, and Av are the ones I think I talk most to. So many other people have made a difference and I appreciate all of them.
Thank you, everyone. For teaching me what it means to be a girl.
