Hey everybody!! I have theories 🙂
So, I recently finished A Crystal of Time 3 or 4 days ago (I’ve kind of been in a haze, I don’t exactly remember), and there was ssoooooo much to unpack, I sort of started taking notes. So I’m just going to dump my favorite theory here.
Oh yeah, and SPOILER ALERT (in case you hadn’t already assumed).
The two…[Read more]
Well, they certainly don’t look like the original Rhian and Rafal…
You’re sure? We never actually saw past Rhian, and Japeth is described as having “milky white skin” (even if the ****** features aren’t the same). Of course, there are a lot of past instances that repeat in Book 5 through people who didn’t look exactly like their past selves so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But Rhian is pale skinned he just has a fake tan (i think)
You might be right! However, I’d honestly be surprised if Rhian’s tan was fake. There’s virtually no reason for it, and he’s been tan since QFG, when he wouldn’t really have access to a tanning salon since he was off “fighting” the Snake. But who knows?
WHOA you might be right!! Otherwise why would Sophie mention Rhian being the Good School Master’s name in QFG?
my first thought when i read the book was that Japeth’s first name was Rhian for some reason and then i realized 2 seconds later that that makes no sense
i’m stupid lol
oh yeah someone commented the same thing before, also because evelyn their mother was close to rafal and stuff. also @jamieparker don’t you think in the front cover of the actual book, rhian look’s very orange? It doesnt look very orange in the picture right over there >>>>> but like I got the paperback and I was surprise that all the character’s…[Read more]
For me, the hardback didn’t seem to look out of the ordinary, but that could be because I just wasn’t looking very closely. It’s very likely that Rhian’s skin is a little off-color, and I simply didn’t notice it. The only thing that I doubt about the theory that Rhian’s tan is fake is that there doesn’t really seem to be a reason for it. Why would…[Read more]
@goodandevel You changed your avatar! It looks nice 🙂
That’s true, I’ve been gone! I’m doing really well. My spring break was kind of crazy, with trips down to family and I worked mics for a musical. Plus, I’m starting a new finance class in school and I have to write a bunch of essays which take forever. What about you?
Hey, Soman, I was wondering…
In the third book, after the war and everything goes back to normal, what happens to all of the dead heroes? It sounds like Cinderella died, and the Ever Never Handbook reveals that Rapunzel’s tower has been turned into a memorial, but does that mean that every hero who died at the hands of a villain is gone for…[Read more]
Question, does the old Roman myth about Castor and Pollux have anything to do with a story that might unfold about them?
Soman said awhile ago that he based them on the constellations, not the Roman myth. I hope this helps! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Thanks so much for the reply! I read earlier that Soman based them on the constellations, but the constellations are also based on the Roman myth. Castor is dying, and Pollux begs Jupiter to be able to be with him so Jupiter makes them both into stars. “There they’ve rested for the carrying out of eternity,” and all that jazz. It’s improbable that…[Read more]
Hey @jamieparker !
Based on a few things, I feel like you would do well in this play.
Please consider it.
Does anyone else hate it when Agatha calls Tedros “Teddy”?
She does it in Book Four a lot, in Book Two, and in Book Three(not in that order, XD). It just sounds so fake, and I liked it when only Sophie and Beatrix called him Teddy. Agatha just feels like one of those characters that wouldn’t give people nicknames(I mean, Sophie’s her best friend…[Read more]
Same! I feel like Agatha is pushed to do it too, like “if we have nicknames like normal people, then we are normal people.”
It doesn’t really matter, but if you don’t like Agatha calling him Teddy, why are you ok with Beatrix and Sophie? Sophie was only her friend in the beginning because she wanted to be good.
Sophie and Beatrix are just those kind of characters. That’s just the way they roll. Sophie calls Agatha “Aggie” and Tedros “Teddy”, and Beatrix gives Tedros a nickname because she’s trying to push herself into a relationship with him. I just love Agatha because she doesn’t need nicknames to be someone’s best friend or girlfriend or wife. Plus, it…[Read more]
It just doesn’t seem like Agatha to have nicknames for people. That’s Sophie’s thing.
Alright, question, what happened to Aric?
I totally forgot.
Did he die or fall in that ice place or what?
He was fighting is Mother (Lady Lesso) and he was about to kill her but than Dovey killed him. There is a lot of killing in this book…..
so much death in the WHOLE SERIES darling. Everybody seemingly dies in the end
We have yet to see a ************ eye removed and put back in
There are children throwing heads
instead of throwing snowballs
They’re busy building guillotines
And absolutely some will be dead
What’s this? What’s this?
There’s this scarlet color everywhere
There’s white things in the air
Sophie let him out and he killed his mother in the end of the war of book 3
Aric was attacking Dovey just like he said he would, and Dovey got really badly injured. Leonora defended her best friend by attacking Aric, so then Aric attacked his mother (Leonora Lesso) so they both attacked each other, until Dovey got a nearby stymph bone and dug it into Aric’s back, which killed him. Lady Lesso also died.
Attack, attack,…[Read more]
Is it weird that Rhian is still my favorite character?
He is a good character but I really don’t like him. Please don’t let tedros die!
Not really. He was a good guy, for the most part, and he has a reason to be evil. He lived his whole life as an outcast and being the snake was his redemption in life.
“We’re JUST LEAVING…”
*Berry starts pulling me away by the overalls*
SHE’S MY IMAGINARY FRIEND I THOUGHT EVERYPONY KNEW THIS—
“Twig, she could be new to the site, go easy on ’em!”
*i scowl harder than I already was doing*
Okay, can we talk about how Sophie always ends up dating THE WORST VILLAINS IN THE ENTIRE SERIES?!?!?! I mean, for seriously. First, it’s Tedros. Then, it’s the School Master. THEN, IT’S FREAKING RHIAN, WHO IS LUKE CASTELLAN ALL OVER AGAIN EXCEPT FOUR MILLION TIMES WORSE.
i know it is so bad Sophie has to stop falling for boys she should just invent the divorce already (you’ve read Percy Jackson?) I wounder if Sophie will ever get a true love and stick with them Tedros? nope! Agatha? bye! Rafal? goodbye! Rhain? plain evil!
I know right! That girl really needs to think before she dates the next top villain.Who knows who she’ll date next. Voldemort perhaps? I have to admit though Sophie wasn’t too evil in book 4.
no but in book #3? shesh that girl really needed to take a chill pill
Yeah, I agree. I really liked her in Quests for Glory, definitely more than I did in any of the other books. But can we just mention that Agatha always has some friend who acts like a total ****? I mean, first it’s Tedros AND Sophie, then it’s just Sophie, then it’s Tedros, who ignores her for six months even though they’re engaged. She needs to…[Read more]
True, but at the end of the book, I think she lost interest because HE IS GOING TO KILL HER ALMOST BROTHER IN-LAW AND HAS CAPTURED ALL HER FRIENDS AND MIGHT KILL HER SISTER WHOM SHE LOVES SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!! BUT NOW HE IS LITERALLY PUT THE SWORD TO HER BACK, AND NOW SHE EITHER IS HIS PRINCE OR DIES!!!! SO I AM PRETTY SURE SHE HATES HIM NOW!!!!!!!!!!
Hahahahahaha… you’re so right! Sophie just wants someone to love her, and when that happens… HE’S EVIL! Poor Sophie…
But Tedros wasn’t bad, he just didn’t like Sophie for judging him by looks. And even though she did that for Rhian, I actually thought Rhian was a good guy.
Sure, he didn’t like Sophie because she liked him for his looks, but he was still a ****. Tedros, in my opinion, was the main villain of Book 1. He was a **** to both Sophie and Agatha, and then he thinks he can just sweep in and have a crush on Agatha after he made fun of her and tried to turn everyone against her. Ugh, sorry, I just hate Tedros…[Read more]
Got four hours of sleep reading this book, only to have it END ON A CLIFFHANGER.
JUST BECAUSE I WAS EXPECTING IT DOESN’T MEAN I WAS READY FOR THE BASEBALL BAT OF SADNESS.
P.S. Nicola and Hort are goals.
