Chap 6: lonely
Hort stood in his room in shock. That girl came all the way to his room just to introduce herself? Hort didn’t feel bad though, he was a never after all. But Hort didn’t know why she’d want to introduce herself, especially to him. Hort sat on his bed, tired and confused. But, as soon as he started to relax in came his roommates ready to torment him to the death. Except when Hort looked up it wasn’t his roommates glaring at him but an ever girl with her dress all ripped up and tangled black hair framing her face. Hort stared at her in shock. What was an Ever, who looked like a Never doing in his room? “You’re Hort right?” the girl asked. “Wh-why should I tell you?” Hort stuttered defensively. “I’m Agatha and no I’m not here to kill you but I do need you to cooperate or else this isn’t going to be easy for either of us,” Agatha said in a stop whining and let’s do something productive with our lives kind of voice. “Okay, I’m Hort what do you want from me,” Hort asked. “I heard from the gargoyles that you know my friend,” said Agatha “The gargoyles?!” “the gargoyles are made of stone how would they tell you anything?” asked Hort “I’ll explain that later,” said Agatha impatiently. “For now you need to bring me to Sophie.” ‘Ok,” said Hort quietly gulping down fear.
Hort didn’t actually know Sophie’s name but he didn’t know any other girls. Especially not girls who were friends with Evers. “She’s probably just heading to lunch,” Hort said leading Agatha outside where the Evers and Nevers ate lunch.
Agatha hadn’t been to lunch at all this year. Well, she’d gone once or twice at the beginning of the year but being she didn’t socialize with anyone and Sophie was too busy ogling over the Ever boys(and judging them) and it was extremely boring listening to others conversations. So, she didn’t. Instead, Agatha stayed in her room and came up with a plan to get to Sophie and get out of here. That’s how Agatha found her ability to hear wishes. She was looking out the window trying to make a map of the campus when she heard a cry. Thinking it came from inside the room Agatha jumped up to look around. But of course, there was nothing there. So, Agatha looked back out the window to continue her cartography. All of a sudden she heard it again. This time she looked out the window to hear a Gargoyle staring at her. She realized the sound was coming from—the gargoyle. Agatha tried to listen to the other gargoyles and since perfected her talent of hearing wishes.
Agatha walked to the lunch tables with Hort. They felt the sting of people’s eyes judging them but they were both used to it by now. As Hort looked through the rows of tables he didn’t see Sophie anywhere. “Where is she?” Agatha asked from behind. “I-I don’t know,” stuttered Hort who was clearly afraid of Agatha. “pfft,” She said pushing past Hort. “She has to be here. Agatha walked past all the never and ever tables hoping to see a glimpse of blonde hair. Agatha looked and looked when she finally came to the conclusion that—Sophie wasn’t here. “Where is she!” Agatha spewed at Hort in a rushed and frustrated manner. “I don’t know maybe she’s up in her room,” responded Hort frantically. Of course, thought Agatha she’s probably getting her beauty sleep right now! “Come on,” said Agatha pulling Hort by his sleeve “I know where she is.” Agatha walked toward the gates of the School for Evil. “It won’t work,” chimed Hort. “Why not!” asked Agatha clearly frustrated now. “The gates are locked you’ll never get in,” replied Hort. Agatha rolled her eyes in extreme frustration. Trying to find a solution Agatha searched the grounds for something to communicate with to get them up and through Sophie’s window. “Just hide my demon until we get back” Agatha heard someone say from the corner Agatha looked around to see a two nevers who looked ready to kill someone on site. Sitting across from them was a chubby never who didn’t look like she’d kill a fly. “the stubborn thing won’t go back into my neck so just wait here until I have the potion to control it” said one of the nevers. As the two scary nevers walked away Agatha saw her chance to talk to the demon.
Agatha thought really hard and stared straight at the demon until she heard a faint humming that turned into a Hello. “Are you here to save me?” Asked the demon in desperation. “I’m sorry, I cannot save you. But I can grant a wish,” replied Agatha “What do you wish for?” “I want to fly. Hester never lets me do anything but stay in her sweaty neck,” complained the demon. This made Agatha giggle which caused everyone to stare at her more than they were before. “well that’s perfect because I need to get up to that window,” Agatha thought while pointing towards a window.
The next thing she new Agatha was holding onto the demon as it lept into the sky. Looking down Agatha could see the two scary nevers coming back and scolding the other girl for letting her take the demon (which wasn’t much of a struggle). The demon wasn’t going very fast and did a few laps around the castle before heading for Sophie’s window. The demon shot at the window with maximum speed. Agatha covered her head and tensed her face in an attempt to get ready for the impact with the glass. All of a sudden everything around her shattered and they landed with a “thump” in Sophie’s room. Everyone around them stopped to stare (except Hester who was glaring). She found Sophie on her bed staring. “Hop on” Agatha directed Sophie. “Let’s go.”
Awww this is really cool! Instead of using Hort, you could also include pronouns?
I wish i could write a story like u and share it here
But my language isn’t english😔
So i can’t write it for you😞
you could write in whichever language you speak and then find a way to translate it to English. I believe there is a way yo do that in many writing apps
