Chapter 10: Camelot
I arrive outside of the School for Good at approximately 6:45. I brought Reina, one satchel, and a suitcase. Reina decided to sit in the satchel so my notebooks are now hairy. Teddy comes outside a few minutes later and says, “I didn’t know princesses woke up this early!” I smile and answer that for all I know I might become a mogrif. “Come on, you are third place on the point board,” he says. At that moment Kiya comes outside with two big bags. She sets them down. “Hi, sorry I’m late. I had to tell Dean Dovey that we were leaving now,” she says. We hear a noise and turn around to see a carriage. We hop in and start riding to Camelot.

When we arrive in Camelot, King Tedros and Queen Agatha are waiting for us. I introduce myself and they tell me where I’ll be staying, in the east wing in the guest room next to Kiya. They walk me to my room and Queen Agatha tells me that there are fresh clothes in the wardrobe. A maid walks in and unpacks my clothes. I choose to wear the clothes in the wardrobe, so I open it up. Inside, there are ten dresses: one green ballgown, one pink ballgown, one blue ballgown, one knee-length indigo dinner-dress, one magenta floor-length dinner-dress, three white silk nightgowns, one gold metallic party dress, and a beautiful floor-length dove gray dress with a gathered to the side waist. I choose the dove gray dress, and put it on. The maid puts my hair up and puts a gold circlet around my head, last she gives me matching heels. I walk down the stairs and run right into Queen Agatha. “Oh, I’m so sorry, Queen Agatha!” I say. “It’s okay, please call me Agatha though,” she says. “Okay,” I say. “Oh, I forgot to tell you, tonight is a ball to find Teddy’s future wife,” she says. “Oh my gosh,” I think as I run down the stairs, “This is why he invited me this weekend.” I walk to the great hall and who do I find before me but Teddy. “May I have this dance?” he asks. I give him my hand and he leads me into the ball room. Inside there are at least a hundred girls. We start dancing, and almost all the girls glower at me. King Tedros and Agatha are seated in their thrones and watching us. Beside them sits Kiya, who is wearing an aqua off the shoulder dress. Kiya winks at me. “Oh, no, I think, Kiya knew it was this weekend too.” We dance for a while, while all other girls glower at me. The dancing part of the party stops, and we all go to our rooms to change into our dinner-dresses. I slip into the indigo dinner-dress, and the maid changes puts a diamond necklace on my throat. Then, she intertwines another gold circlet into my hair. There is a tear-drop shape diamond hanging onto my forehead: it’s attached to the circlet. She changes my shoes, yet again, to indigo silk slippers. Finally, I’m ready to go downstairs again. Everyone sits down at their assigned seats at the table. Agatha sits at one head of the table in her throne, King Tedros sits at the other head of the table in his throne. I am seated right next to Teddy. As soon as everyone is seated, the meal begins…
Sorry I ended on a cliff-hanger! If I didn’t stop I would have gone on forever! 🙂
It’s cool, and cliffhangers are good not bad (well in my opinion there good 😉 )
