Ophelia knew perfectly well that she could navigate Greece just fine on her own, but she didn’t want to upset Melody and make an enemy.
She nodded and forced a laugh. “No, I was just being stupid and was heated in the moment. Everyone knows you shouldn’t listen to Olympian gossip; I’m sure you’re a great guy,” she said, not believing a word of it. She still didn’t trust Derrick as far as she could throw him, though she’d never tell him that.
“Thank you,” Melody said with a genial grin, though Ophelia was sure she would not be allowed to pull such a stunt again, at least not in front of Melody.
She went back to her potions, staring into the fire and fighting the urge to turn everyone into animals.
