My Ranking Points
Ophelia grinned at Red as they headed to the Ruby Cabin. “I’ve missed you, too,” she said, and to prove her point, Ellie snuggled up to the captain as they walked. “Been a while, hasn’t it?”
“Indeed it has. Too long, really,” Red replied. “So, Rafal’s dead? I assume ye’ll be leavin’ the Schools, then,” she continued. “I doubt that frilly pink Evergirl thing is a good look on you.”
Ophelia nudged her old friend in the ribs and laughed. “C’mon, I’d look good in anything,” she said, flipping her hair in mock vanity. “Really, though, I think I’ll stay. Ever uniforms and do-gooding aside, it’s… nice,” the witch admitted. She had made bonds with the others that she hadn’t expected; she considered herself a friend of Melody’s, and she was becoming closer to Derrick, who just a day ago she had written off as a scoundrel *******.
Red nodded thoughtfully. Ophelia knew she could always count on the pirate to stand by her. “Well, ye always have a place on the Bloodrose,” she said kindly, placing a hand on her shoulder.
At last, they had reached the door to Captain Esmeralda’s cabin.
“Here we are,” Ophelia said, recognizing the room. She shot a grin at her friend and strode inside, sitting on a bed. “Just as magnificent as always. Gods, I love this ship.”
