My Ranking Points
Hello everyone! Yay, it’s the weekend! (At least for me.) I have just enough time to write a chapter right now. (Yes, I’m aware, the speed at which I tend to put out new content when I have the opportunity is insane.) Anyways, I’ll just get straight to the point.
POV Rose Niji
“General Massey” had earned his embarrassing false identity as my deceased grandfather.
Had he not had the nerve to slap a girl who was LITERALLY A ZODIAC, it’s very likely that I would have changed his hair and eye color, as well as his height, made up a random, English name, and called it a day. But no. He slapped me. So he got to be Mushi Niji for an hour. Good for him.
By the time we got to the hotel, not only had he still failed to remember my name, but he was even more fed up with me than he had been on the plane. I was clueless as to why his memory was so different from the other student’s. Perhaps it was because of how drastic the changes to his life were. There would be no room for memories of his old self in a world that had completely rebuilt his identity. This Drew was older, a father, no longer even the right age to be a student of Pisces.
But that didn’t make sense either. Were that the case, people like Erin wouldn’t remember me either. But then again, Erin had been in the underworld. It was possible that that was the reason why she was exactly the same. Which left me wondering… What of the Erin of this timeline? Where was she? Did she even exist?
But I didn’t have time to answer the questions. The second the cousins saw each other, it was clear that Drew remembers everything. Oh, and that he was going to get slapped for what must have been at least the 5th time that day.
At first, Erin had seemed relieved to learn that her cousin was alive, and at least somewhat well, but then remembered that this was also the boy who had killed her and sent her to Scorpio. And also that Drew had basically committed genocide against an entire ship of Pisces students and gotten away with it. So she did what any respectable person would do. She stood up, walked over to him, and slapped him.
Wow, at least it had taken him saying something to get me to slap the man… Then again, I suppose for a while he was fighting to the opposing side… I mentally shamed myself for not having slapped him the moment he woke up. Probably would have gotten him awake faster, too. Had I been the Aquarius Reincarnate like Erin was, I probably would have conjured cold water and dumped it over Drew’s head. Sadly, fire magic was a bit too deadly to attempt to use for such matters.
Either, way, I decided that it would be a smart move to say something.
“Oh, so you remember now, do you ‘General Massey?'”
The sarcasm in my voice must have been painfully evident.
“You’re… Rose,” he responded.
“Well, yes, I’m Rose. You can call me that. But I have another name now. I’m also Leo.”
The look of confusion on his face was hilarious, but I restrained myself, and managed not to crack up.
“I became a Zodiac. I’ll happen to you someday, too, you know. Heck, we sort of need it to happen. Though I doubt that Virgo will be all that inclined to hand over her powers. After all, until the world is reset again, she’ll be gone for good, and her soul will pass on like a normal persons’.
Anyhow, Ochus is becoming a serious issue, and we need a new generation of Zodiac if we want to stop him. Leila and I have already ascended to become Zodiai, but we’re the only ones so far. Heck, we aren’t even aware of where some of the reincarnates are presently. I suppose that with Nikolai and Nastya though, it’s just a matter of time before Gemini and Taurus decide to make the offer to them. After all, Nikolai already had is magic, at least. I don’t know how long it’ll be before Nastya gets hers, though. Considering that she’s the Taurus reincarnate, however, I’d imagine that she’ll be rather useful when she does. From what I’ve learned, she’ll have enhanced strength, and Earth magic. Conjuring plants and earthquakes and the like.
As for you, I don’t know what you can do. Virgo’s never been a particularly impressive Zodiac. Her only notable traits are her pretty wings and causing autumn. Doesn’t give that much potential for powerful magic. Everything that she’s been doing recently has been magic from Ochus’ corruption, not her own abilities. But then again, she might have some sort of insane, powerful ability that not even the rest of us Zodiai are aware of. Either way, it’s important that we help you ascend. So, let me ask you a new question, Drew Massey. What do you say to becoming a god?”
