My Ranking Points
Hello all members of the fruits as people it’s powers RP! Welcome to the second comment chain. I apologize if you didn’t find the first comment chain, I forgot to tag everyone and not many people found the post. I was going to delete it and make a new one tagging everybody, but then a few people already started. You can go back in my activity to see what’s happened so far, but it’s not much. We’re just starting where we left off.
I walk outside with Lemon and Cher, “So…where are we eating lunch? Do you think we could go to Piña Picnic?”
I walk out to the schoolyard and watch kids mill around. I peer down at my outfit, a brown jacket, a green crop top with a knot above my belly button, a green denim skirt, and brown ankle boots. My green hair slips over my face, and I tuck it away. “Kiwi,” I tell myself, “Just stay and wait for a kind person to come along.” I sigh. Being the new girl is the worst.
Fastening my watch onto my wrist, I look up and see a green-haired ******* the other side of the schoolyard; my scarlet hair and bright red skirt flap in the wind. I walk over. “Hi,” I say confidently.”You seem lost. Want any help?”
I look up to see a girl dressed all in red, and reply, ” I’m finding my classes okay, but I could use a friend. Kiwi Green.”
I’m psyched as well. “Would you look at that?” I say. “We’re both named for fruits! My parents saw my unnaturally green hair, plus black eyes, and went, ‘Oh, just like a Kiwi!’ How about you? Also, can I call you Cran?” I facepalm. Stop talking her ear off, Kiwi. “Sorry, I’m ridiculously chatty.”
As I’m about to follow Lemon inside, I notice two girls laughing and chatting together. I drag Lemon over to them, “Hi!” I say cheerfully, “I’m Watermelon, but you can call me Mel. It’s nice to meet you!” I smile.
“Kiwi Green!” I say appreciatively. “This is Cranberry.” Just then, my sketchbook blows open, and my illustrations of manga girls are visible.
“Nice to meet you!” Suddenly, Kiwi’s sketchbook blows open, exposing some really amazing manga art. “Wow, those are really good! You know…” I say thoughtfully, “I run the school newspaper. We could really use some good art. Would you be ok with doing some art for us?” I smile.
I nearly go nuts at Mellie’s offer. “O-of course!” And then I hugged someone I’d never met.
(They just all have powers, they aren’t discovered or learned)
“Ooh, I school newspaper?”, I ask.
“Welp, I have a knack for writing down the daily scoop! I know anything and everything about this school and it’s going-ons.
The name’s Razzle Thornetta, by the way.”
“Kiwi Green,” I reply. “I’ll be writing the new comic: Cosma the Moon Girl!”
“Well then, Razzle and Kiwi, let’s head to the editing room!” I grin. “We have the back to school newspaper in the works right now.”
(Can Cher do the fashion/beauty part of the newspaper? I wanna be involved lol)
I roll my eyes, chasing after Mel. How did it get to this? “Mel! Hurry up,” I pushed
“Okay,” I reply bluntly, slowly trailing after her. “What are we even doing?” I blurt out
The editing room is now very full, and we are waiting for Mellie to give instructions.
I stand next to Kiwi, looking slightly nervous and also very excited at the prospect of a school newspaper.
I don’t usually tell anyone, but I adore writing. I have a whole shelf of stories, poems and newspaper articles I’ve written back at home. So while we all waited for the red-headed girl (Watermelon, I think) to give instructions, I begin to feel like I might be able to make my mark at this school through doing something I love.
I am practically jumping up and down in excitement, and spot a girl in yellow looking very discomforted. I walk over to her and ask, “Are you okay?”
I look at the girl with more cringe. “Yes, not that it’s your business,” I say with attitude, and fun my attention to Mel. “Hurry Mel!” I rush her
Kiwi walks over to a girl dressed head to toe in yellow, and I stand slightly awkwardly, now having no-one to talk to and clutching my satchel. I hurry to a chair in the corner of the room and sit down, taking my pen and notepad out of my satchel. I turn to a crisp, snowy-white page, and begin to write. Chapter 24: Straw, Gold and Spinning Wheels.
I scroll through my latest fashion articles, deciding which one would be good for our first edition. Finally I settle on
Parties, Prints and Pink!
Perfect. I turn to the others.
“Ok guys! Thank you for joining me today.” I say cheerfully, “We are welcoming a new member, Kiwi, to our ranks. She’ll be writing comics and doing drawings for us. Ok, Lemmy, do you have the opinion article? We need it by tomorrow. I’ll get my poems into the printer soon. Kiwi, do you have a finished comic you could give us for the back to school edition?”
I sigh, rolling my eyes, as I opened up my satchel, and took out my computer. I flipped it open, awkwardly balancing it on my knee, and scrolled through my docs, before finding the right one. I start printing out the article, and soon I have it held in my hand. I put away my computer, and hand it to Mel. “Are we almost done?” I whine.
I hand Mel a finished comic, then go sit next to Cranberry to do more drawings. “Do you know yellow girl over there?” That’s when I see her amazing story. “That’s really good!” I say.
I print out my article, complete with mood boards, notes, recommendations, photos and more. I smile. Looking good.
“Do you know sour one over there?” I gesture at the girl in yellow.
As I’ve finished, I open my bullet journal. I’ve worked so ******* it, using beautiful calligraphy, pretty brush pen work, lovely colours and orderly system. I even drew some pictures that i’m super proud of. It’s one of my treasures, and I write in it every day. It’s my little ritual.
(This is going to link with stuff, bear with)
I slink back, already noticing what Mel was doing…making new friends, just so she could…leave. I sat back, cracking my knuckles intimidatingly, glaring at everyone
I notice that lemon has her frustrated look. I walk over, “Hey…you good? I’m… I’m sorry if I upset you before.
I wave a notebook in the air flipped to my latest notes from the newest drama: a big breakup between two older students.
“Can you come read my article-in-progress?”
‘Thanks Mel.’ I say, smiling. I close my journal and put it in my bag. ‘Where should this article go?’ I say, showing razzle the article I just finished.
“Wow Cherry, that’s hilarious! I’m sure tons of people will want to read it!”
‘Thanks Razzle!’ I beam.
(Who is going to put together the newspaper???)
I watch the girl, still excited, and want to mentally bar.f. Why was Mel so happy to see them? She has never met them before
I feel bad that I haven’t been paying attention to Lemon. I walk over to her, “Wanna go get a coffee in the cafe?”
(High strung?) I shrug, “Sorry, I’ll try and take it down a notch. It’s just, this is all so exciting!”
( Lol it was tied.up idk why it censored it! (If it didn’t go through, it’s ti.ed up)
(I mean like put all the articles into a full newspaper, u know? I don’t mind who does it, but I was wondering so Cher can give her article to them)
I hand my article to Mel. ‘That’s this week’s fashion and beauty edit.’ I say.
“Ok guys, so everyone’s articles seem great! I’ll bring the proofs down to the printer after lunch, how does that sound?”
‘Great! I’m going to get lunch from Starbucks, anyone wanna come?”
I hesitate, “Um, actually, I think me and Lemon were gonna get some lunch at the cafe. Sorry Cher!”
I turn to Cranberry. “I didn’t know we could go off-campus! Up for Subway?”
My eyes softened a bit when Mel declined her. “Shall we go?” I ask
I enter Starbucks. I order a unicorn Frappuccino and some salted crisps. I pay and sit down in a corner table. My phone rings and I immediately pick it up. ‘Yes, i’m here.’ I say.
I swing open the door to Starbucks and wave to Cher before standing in line to get a mocha Frappuccino. Once o get my drink, I sit down next to her at a small table and. I hang my backpack ******** a chair rung.
“So, how do you like school so far? The kids are great for the most part, but someone seems a bit………sour”
I smile, a real smile, for once, and hook my arm on Mel’s. “Which cafe? I ask, leading her toward the door
“I’m not sure…” I say thoughtfully, “How about the new Eco one?”
‘It’s good,’ I say, subtly switching my phone off and jamming it inside my bag. ‘But yeah I agree, something seemed sickly sweet as well as sour.’ (😂fruit references lololol)
