    Here is what I think:
1.) Adults should NOT play roles in the movie! Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, Chloe Grace Moretz, etc. are WAY too old to play characters that are teenagers!!
2.) Many of the characters SHOULD be portrayed by fans. We know the idea, plot, theme, and story better than any tan-and-teeth actor that doesn’t even understand what is behind the story.
3.) A lot of people have found actors/actresses/models that are 10-12. Many people say that these people are too young. In reality, they’re not!! At this rate, the movie will only begin filming in a few years! These people are actually the PERFECT age (or they will be when filming starts!).

I agree with you on the adult actor part. Some people fan-cast great actors for Sophie or Agatha who are in their 30s! But what is wrong with casting teen actors who are actually the right age and are great at acting? But I do really want to see some real SGE fans cast in the movie – I’ve never seen it happen before!

I’ve been a supporter of fan casting since the beginning, so I’m glad to see someone agreeing with me again. 🙂

I feel like some adults would make good teachers and parents though. I’ve never met an ordinary adult who likes SGE

I couldn’t agree more with this! I would like to say that as long as the actors aren’t older than sixteen when they start filming, fans should totally be able to audition! After all, if kids are taken every four years, and they have to be older than twelve, then sixteen would be the oldest the students could be!

Ooops!! Just realized that I made a mistake!! I meant that adults should not play school children in the movie (children/teens). I’m totally okay with adults playing Gavaldon families, teachers, or royalty in the endless woods.

        Ah, OK

I know!!! That’s a constant problem in movies where the cast someone who is way to old for the part. My fear is that this movie will end up like Percy Jackson. 🙁

          NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

If the movie goes wrong like PJO, blame the director and not the actors. I hope they find a good director for SGE

I liked the Percy Jackson movies. They were pretty different from the book, though, and that is DEFINITELY not what I want for SGE.

        I agree

I agree about the adult actor part, though I want Emma Watson to be in it (she can play Princess Uma!) just ’cause I’m a total Potterhead, but adult actors shouldn’t play as kids.

          Yes she’d be perfect!

Open casting would be nice, I mean look at Harry Potter? Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, Tom Felton, Evanna Lynch, all those people I can’t remember made excellent actors|actresses and went on to do a lot more. Combined with some seriously awesome actors|actresses (Alan Rickman (rip :C), Dame Maggie Smith (she got a title by the queen, so yeah), Helen Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes, etc…
