CHAPTER 1***THE WHITE PALACE OF THE FROST PLAINS
I jolted awake with a start. The clock on my oak bedside table was ringing loudly – midnight. I grinned at the darkness of the room and kicked the soft white sheets made of unicorn fur from Altazarra. The clock shuddered as I slammed my hand over the top, silencing it. The palace was huge. And when I say huge, I mean HUGE.
When my grandmother, the past Queen Snow White, had lived here, it was nothing more than a couple towers and a few maids that weren’t capable of tying there own shoe laces. But as it got longer lived in, it became more and more fancy, now with crystal chandeliers and large royal chambers.
Mother, Queen Emily, had fixed it up and made it almost as fancy as the Camelot Palace. Almost. There WAS occasionally a spider web in the corner or a spilled *** plant, but OK, it was kind of nice. All the spiders.
My room was in the highest tower in the east wing. I often creeped out of the palace through the window in the corridor outside my room.
I made a long rope of cloth that I chucked down and climbed. I still use it and it comes in handy…sometimes.
    ***
I snuk along the marble corridor that shone so brightly during the night you could hardly CALL it night. The door to my bedroom was ajar and if you happened to walk past it you would see, a pair of high heels with holes in them, a little beaded bag that I had graffitied on and a shelf of books that were stacked so high half had fallen off.
I bit my hand at my stupidity and slammed the door shut. Creaks sounded from upstairs and I paled, frozen. The chandelier teetered and it’s candles flickered. My bare feet made barely any sound on the floor, but nevertheless I was afraid someone would find out that I was sneaking out of The White Palace.
Finally, I reached it – the large oval window. I pulled it open, my night dress billowing in the wind. The cloth-rope slung over my shoulder swung as I hung it out the window, securing it to a nail. But suddenly a small shadow came up behind me and said, “What are you doing?”
    Thanks for reading!

Great chapter! I agree, it could be a bit longer, but still, really good.
