Of the first few things Rolan encountered ,that included blinding marble staircases, handsome boys fighting like idiots for no apparent reason and giant nymphs striving supposedly lovesick over these idiotic boys ,the most peculiar of all was waiting outside big, golden-brown, wooden doors until the swordplay teacher-Nicholas Kinsley- gave further notice. Rose in hand, he pondered the various outcomes of this rose- giving session. Firstly, a girl may catch his eye and be fun to hang with or she could just be another annoying, time-consuming girl with nothing better to talk about than herself and how pretty he was. It didn’t sound promising as in Foxwood, girls were always annoying him because they believed him their true love . He was only 13(ok a beautiful 13 year old with luscious, raven-black locks, deep amber eyes and tanned skin with brilliant muscles but that was not the point). With a broad sweep of his hand professor Kinsley opened the doors revealing 60 beautiful girls waving at them as if devoting their hearts to these boys they knew nothing about.
By now, most boys had thrown the rose but Rolan was still stuck. With 60 beautiful girls all waving at him, almost pleading be chosen he looked round for someone different.
“GET ON WITH IT MAN.”Yelled a voice.”WE ‘AVEN’T GOT ALL DAY FOR YOU TO CHOOSE A GIRL LIKE.” A cascade of booing and jeering taunts came from the other side. All the
girls looked the same except for two girls talking in the pews. One had beautiful, blond hair that was braided into buns with creamy skin and the other with clover green skin and ebony black hair. They were deep in conversation and therefore did not see him ****** the rose out to them until it hit the blond one in the back of the head where, he noticed a lot of other roses were piled up.
The rest of the assembly flashed by in a blur and he didn’t need to worry or listen to the two females on stage because he knew Charles ( his pruny roommate) would have made a list of every single rule and already properly filed them down into categories. Soon, the assembly ended and all evers were spirited away to have dinner. Unfortunately, his mates insisted on a game of rugby so he couldn’t do what he wants to do… talk to the girls.
Luckily, he didn’t need to wait long as, across the clearing, the cousins were arguing.
” No way.” shot Emerald
” You are brilliant at rugby- you won the oz league go play!”
“If you will, I will”
“Okay then, but if I make you lose it’s not my fault!”
“Who said you’d be on my team?”
