My Ranking Points
Hola, personas! Como estas? Soy bien, pero tengo no ideas para el POV.
Oh well, done with my weird Spanish thing. I actually speak pretty good Spanish! I am like stunned right now. Oh well….
It was Trial Eve, and I was seriously freaking out. I couldn’t even bring myself to eat my (delicious!) lunch of salmon topped with orange balsamic glaze and watermelon juice. Oh! How much I love watermelon juice. Instead, I sat dumbly with Marie, Ella, Carly, and Lexi, picking at my salmon and totally pretending to eat it. It was a typical late fall morning, with brightly colored leaves spiraling towards the withering grass from high up in the dim blue sky. But, for those in the top ten, it was anything but typical. By dinnertime I was hiding out in the restrooms, almost sobbing myself to death. If that’s even a thing.
I plopped myself down on the toilet seat, and buried my face in my hands. There was no way I would be able to cope with the stress of being a competitor in the Trial by Tale. I mean, sometimes people DIED! My stomach churned, but the heavy frosted door swung open twice in a row, and I knew I had already been hiding out for too long. I crept out carefully as soon as I heard the stall doors slam and tiptoed across the carpeted hallway to my dorm.
Sienna was untying a small yellow box in her hand, and Skylar was presumably somewhere else. I rummaged through the gift bag my dad had given me, which included new pjs, a fancy gown for the Snow Ball, a necklace, and a book on spells. I picked up the cherry red book, and flipped to the first page. In crisp, black letters the chapters covered weather, water, fire, ice, earth, wind, mogrifying, defense, and offense. It was very informative, and I was suddenly glad my dad had given it to me. I was also really sad. I missed him a lot, and I knew I wouldn’t be seeing him that much, even after school. Most likely, I would have my own fairy tale. Hopefully something exciting.
With these thoughts drifting around in my head, I fell asleep to the soft creaking of the wind gashing against the tower, with my book flat on my stomach.
I woke up suddenly at the crack of dawn, to one lone bird outside my window chirping.
‘What day is it?’ I thought. Suddenly, I remembered. The Trial.
Ooh! Cool beans!! I like it!
I’m probably not going to POV for a while, though… probably for at least two days.
Anyway, this is really, really cool!!
