Shimmering Crystals: Chapter 1:
I wanted to run through the door. To greet my new home with a smile. Instead, I just stood in the hallway. I looked at the sign on the door.
“Welcome! Fantasia, Agnes, Edie-Anna!” I saw my name. I blinked. Yes, my name was still there. I had waited for moment since forever, but I still can’t believe I was accepted to the school for good. I knew that Agnes and Edie-Anna were already inside, because I was so shocked by my acceptance that I just stood in the hallway, frozen in time, and all the other evergirls waltzed into their rooms and started to make new friends. I finally mustered up the courage to open the door.
As soon as I snatched my schedule off an **** hag, I ran straight up the stairs and into my room. There was no one there. Good. I locked the door. I hope my roommates know when to quit. I looked around my new home. Wow, this room needs serious remodeling. There were 4 beds in the room. I chose the one that was the furthest away from the window and door. The bed in the corner. I threw my black coral trunk onto my bed and started unpacking. Suddenly, I heard a knock on the door.
There were three beds in my new room. On one bed was a girl unpacking her Briar Rose sleep mask, her cumulus-nimbus pillows and her silken-moss bedspread. She had really pale skin, hazelnut eyes, rosy cheeks, freckles, red lips and orange hair that was tied into plaits and hung down over her shoulders. On another bed was a girl admiring herself in her self-affirming magic mirror. She had long blond-black hair, hazelnut skin and two eyes that were different colours. Her left eye was green and her right eye was mint white. The third bed was empty. The girl with orange hair and hazelnut eyes finished unpacking and saw me.
“Hi,” she said, “you’re okay with that bed near the window right? Because if you can’t,”
“It’s fine. I like sleeping near a window,” I replied. I held out my hand. “My name is Fantasia, what’s yours?”
“My name is Agnes,” she shook my hand. “And this,” she looked at the other girl, “Is Edie-Anna”.
Edie- Anna rolled her eyes.
“It’s pronounced Eedie-Arna. Princess Eedie-Arna”
I heard knocking. I heard someone rattling the door handle. Unlike whoever was trying to get into my room, I had brought a pack of lizard-tail bones, so I could unlock any door of my choosing.
“Hello, I’m Hailey,” a voice outside was yelling. “I’m your roommate, so can you let me in?”
“Is it just you?” I will NOT share my room with two other people, evil or otherwise. Other people cause most of my misery.
“No, we have another roommate. Can you unlock the door?” Hailey answered. I didn’t reply. The room was filled with silence.
“If you don’t let us in, I will report you to the wolves! You’ll get sent to the Doom Room!!” I could tell that this wasn’t just an empty threat. If I got sent to the Doom Room, the man-wolf could ruin my perfect image! Every cut, stain and bruise was there was a reason. I couldn’t let someone ruin it! I had no choice. I opened the door.
