I hope you enjoy this part! 🙂
Laurence stood, rooted to the spot as the Everboys marched spiritedly past in intact lines. He felt giddy, and his confidence shredded. Bewilderedly, he strode over to the West Doors, and drew in his breath, and that’s when he realised he was the only one left!
All the Everboys had gone in, and were on the verge of tossing a rose to girl, when the West doors were flung open once more. Laurence strolled undauntedly onto the stage, where he ****** out Excalibur with a smooth swing.
Then the Everboys launched right into action, darting from every direction, and Laurence deftly disarmed them all, marveling at his effortless swings and his own skillful, quick hand. A pyramid of steel expanded visually by his feet. He was beginning to feel light-hearted, ecstatic with joy, for Tedros had trained him in sword-play and until now, Laurence had no idea of how well it had payed off!
In short while, only Cheshire and Mason held swords. They cautiously advanced Laurence, then as quick as lightning, they leapt! Rapidly flicking swords, the three became a blur, until somebody’s sword hurtled up with swift speed. It glinted in the sunlight, then started falling. . .
Without warning, Laurence surged up and tweaked Excalibur out of the air, but the other two had got him by surprise. Laurence laughed, and picked up another sword.
At that instant, Cheshire and Mason chuckled and threw a rose to a girl and took their seats.
Suddenly, Laurence felt panicky. Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes and the rose flew high, high up in the air. Laurence watched it fall to the very back of the crowd and into somebody’s hands.
The whole theater craned necks too see a girl, hidden by another tall girl at the back, unnoticed.
As the rose drifted elegantly into hr palm, she gasped with amazement an flushed bright pink.
