My Ranking Points
Hiya guys! This is a prologue for a new story I am working on that is not SGE related. I have more written on google docs, but I want to know what you think about it! Thanks, and STAY STRONG SGE!
I sat the egg down on my dresser. It wasn’t moving, it wasn’t making any noise, it wasn’t… doing anything. The so-called “master” had said it would take only a few days for it to hatch, but here I was, three weeks after taking the egg, staring at it like it would do something-anything. I finally gave up for today and stepped back. When the back of my knees touched the bed, I fell down onto it and closed my eyes.
It was hard to do the littlest as try to fall asleep, considering the things that I had gone through in one day. I scooted up to my pillow to try and make it more comfortable. The breeze of my open window was calming, sort of comforting. It was still light out, and the warm summers of Duluth were slowly fading. I’m not complaining-I like the cold weather- but it was really warm inside, and a bit too cold outside.
Then, the thing that happened next was kind of weird. Well, it was really weird. I finally fell asleep, but then I woke up. I didn’t know what time it was, but I glanced at the egg. It looked almost like it was glowing, but i thought that it was probably just the light of the moon on it or something. I realized that this was probably just a dream, so i got back into my covers and curled up back asleep.
But i should have noticed something different. Something that would be important later on. Something that, if i had noticed it, it could have changed everything.
It was the sound coming from the downstairs kitchen.
