My Ranking Points
Hey guys! Sorry I haven’t posted in a really long time! This chapter’s definitely not my best, it’s quite bland but I wanted to explain why the coven’s fingerglows are special. Anyways, I’ll try to make my chapters more descriptive and interesting from now on!
A New Coven’s First Year
Chapter 17-Fingerglow Unlocking
Ash sat down at the breakfast table with Ebony and Nova. “Hey guys.”
“Hi!” Nova replied. “Are you okay? I mean, last night wasn’t exactly the best.”
“Sorry I kept you guys up all night. I can’t get over the fact that I murdered my own mom.”
“It’s fine.” Ebony picked at her plate of lettuce. “Ugh, I hate vegetables.”
“On a different topic, I heard we’re getting our fingerglow unlocked today!” Nova babbled.
“Yay.” Ash yawned. “I want to just go back to our dorm and sleep.
“Class is going to start soon, let’s go.”
“This is the day you’ve all been waiting for, you’re getting your fingerglow unlocked!” Yuba said.
He unlocked people’s fingers, one by one, until he came to the three witches. He unlocked Ash’s finger, but her finger did not illuminate with colour.
“Focus on emotion!” Yuba frowned, Ash’s finger was not glowing.
He moved on to Ebony, then Nova. Neither of them managed to make their fingers glow.
The class was dismissed, the coven felt defeated.
“How are we meant to pass our classes if our fingers don’t glow?” Ash paced around the dorm, muttering angrily to herself.
“I know something that will work!” Nova stood up. “Channel all the anger you’re feeling right now into your fingerglow!”
Ash exhaled. “That’s not going to work!”
“Just give it a try.” Ebony held out her finger, Ash and Nova did the same.
Their fingers lit up simultaneously, the crimson hue lighting up the room.
“Our fingerglows are the same colour, cool!” Just as Nova said that, her fingerglow turned bright pink. “Huh?”
Everyone’s fingerglow then turned bright orange.
“Maybe Yuba will know something about this.” Ash led the way out of the dorm.
“Hmm, interesting.” Yuba studied their fingerglows. “It would seem your fingerglow changes colour due to emotion. Red would be anger, pink-excitement, orange-confusion, and so on!”
“Is that normal?” asked Nova.
“No, I don’t think this happened to anyone before. Don’t worry about it, it’s fine.”
This chapter is interesting!! I’m intrigued by their fingerglows being the same colour, well done!,
