Vegetables, fruit, Vegemite on toast in small amounts we don’t smother it on like people think we do, bread, biscuits, crackers, dips, cheese, milk, steak, chicken, hot chips, chips, hamburgers, tacos, Chinese food, Thai food, Indian food, sushi, Vietnamese food, Some other more normal Japanese food like ramen, subway, sandwiches, wraps, chips,…[Read more]
Summer can be REALLY hot so I would suggest Spring or Autumn late summer or early summer so May, March, April, late February, September, October or November. December isn’t too bad but the weather starts to pick up from there and the days are an average of 30-37 degrees on a normal summers day. Heat waves only last for about a week which is good…[Read more]
Ohh, so it is like this!
I just came back from volleyball practice. Yesterday, we went to a college to practice and there was no roof. So, we had to apply sunscreen, it was so hot and we were all sweating,so I think the sunscreen has no use to us XD
What is your main celebration? Mine is Chinese New Year 🙂
Australia’s is probably Christmas, Easter, the AFL final, Australia day and New years eve!
Sometimes I somehow forget to come onto the site daily because I’ve just started watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix and I have been binge watching it since it is the school holidays!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey guys, I just joined the group!
Hi @fudgepop9 ,I am collecting information about the country I want to visit in the future, can you tell me some interesting places of Canada, or local delicacies? I appreciate it!
Of course! Rocky Mountains are really cool. They have the best lakes. I’m a huge fan of Science World, which is in Vancouver. Probably just me! Stanley Park is also in Vancouver. There’s an Anne of Green Gables museum/place where it could have happened in Nova Scotia or New Brunswick. Not totally sure.
Some food is Maple syrup (The real thing!)…[Read more]
My grandma went to the museum-thing. She got me some really cool stickers.
I can’t believe you haven’t tried poutine. It’s basically French Fries (you’ve had those, right?) with gravy, and cheese curds. You can sometimes have meat in it.
And maple syrup is good. It’s a sweetener/topping/thing. You get it from the sap from maple trees. (That’s why: Canada!)
French and English are the two official languages. Since I speak English, we learn French. And if you speak French, you learn English.
I don’t, but then I get good marks. We have about 6.5 hours of school, five days a week. And about 9 weeks off for summer vacation. It’s generally up to your parents to decide if they want you to study or not. Mine don’t tell me to, but one of my friends is learning Mandarin because her mom wanted her to!
Oh, and you get two other 2 week vacations, one around Christmas time, and one during spring.
I have about 6 hours of school. And 9 weeks off?! That’s soooo long, my maximum number of successive holidays is 2 weeks, but we have 1.5 months holiday after our term end.
Oh, Mandarin is quite difficult to learn, I had trouble keeping up myself!
You have 4 seasons in your country?
Yes. I live in a very mild part of Canada, but in some places, weather is crazy! It’ll snow a foot in the winter, then reach 30 degrees (F) in the summer!
Hi @13epic ,I am gathering information about the countries I want to visit in the future. So can you tell me some interesting places you recommend to go in Switzerland?
Do you want to chat @avivakeller ? 😀
I got 100% on my math final BH!
I’m done with school tests for now! But next year’s another year luckily!
Graduating soon hopefully!
#1: BH stands for a Hebrew quote you might not understand unless you speak Hebrew.
#2: I can’t just say ‘I’m graduating soon’ because than if something out of the ordinary happens I’d be lying! Sorry it’s a me thing!
Hi @princessofaustralia24601 ,I have been gathering information about other fascinating countries I want to visit lately, so can you list what places there are in Australia to me? Thanks! 🙂
Sure! I live on the east side of Australia, so I guess the slightly more popular. I’ve been to most places on my side, but none on the other. It depends on where you want to go as well. I live in Suburbs/ city, so desert is around and in the middle. In Melbourne, the capital of Victoria, where I live, is considered the best place in the world,…[Read more]
Kangaroos? I see them while camping a lot. And snakes. I love Koalas. The language for Australia is just English, but you can learn heaps of different languages at school
And yes, they are pretty adorable 🙂 once I was in the bush, we stayed in a cute, cosy little cabin, and we were going into town. It was dusk, and on the long road we were on was surrounded with bush. Then a Kangaroo jumped out and scared the **** out of us!!! We hit the break in time tho 🙂
Wow, how many language do you learn? (Btw, sorry for the late reply, i’m kinda busy lately)
XD luckily nothing bad happen to those kangaroos!
And have you been inside Sydney’s opera house before, I have been dying to go there!!! My dad’s been there once, it’s been a great experience for him! 🙂
I’ve been to the Opera House, but it was a long time ago, so I don’t really remember it. We have a lot of immigrants here, but the language here since invasion a few centuries ago we have been speaking English, and you can learn lots of languages, but I learn Mandarin. 🙂
I’ve been learning it for 3 years, this is my 4th 🙂
Well… Near where I live there is a Christmas festival, new years eve, and Australia day, which Aussie day is on a horrible date because it was when we took the lives and land of the Aborigines. Besides that, just the usual
Aborigines are the native people of the land. They chose the day that the British took over everything, and I think it’s wrong
Well, we don’t have a huge one, but meat pies, and prawns??? We eat anything really.
Yes, we eat bread like, every day! We also have rice a fair bit too 🙂
Oh ok! Yesterday my mum ask me what I want to eat at dinner. I was like— rice? No! Pizza? Um, no.
And I end up opting for rice. *feels satisfied* 😀
Yesterday was Teacher’s Day, is it the same for your school?
Yes, I’ve been there, but it was 5 years ago, so I don’t really remember, except I was saying that it should be the 3 sisters and the baby, because there’s a smaller (but still really huge) rock next to them XD
XD Really, because I had watched a travel show about the Blue Mountains and I think it is located a little far off from the main city
There are 3 rocks then, and yes, I think the smaller rock is located in the middle between the other 2….
Wow, just now there is a thunder suddenly growling in my place and I jumped. It’s going to rain soon here… (sorry to digress from the topic we are talking about 🙂 )
It’s pouring here, luckily I missed the rain walking home!
Oh, you walk home?
I sometimes (very seldom) walk home from school as it is only a 5 to 10minutes walk, but I sometimes feel a little lazy to do so.
I just returned from the shopping mall… yesterday I watched a Japanese movie called Tales From the Earthsea, I REALLY, really like the characters and all, does this movie rings a bell…[Read more]

How’s your school? Today my school have a motivation programme. It really urges me to study hard and not give up in challenges in life☺
Wow, that’s so true!!! But I think sometimes there is no effect if you motivate someone as they cannot be easily motivated. Sometimes hard words need to be said to change their minds.
But motivation works fine for me. I feel that I wanted to study harder after listening to the programme! 🙂
Today my teacher set a target for our class to get all A in a subject, now I am feeling the pressure 🙁 ,plus there’s tons of homework to do today, so I better get started! 🙁
And what happened? (Sorry to be a busybody, just curious…), I won’t dare to have a fight at school, did something gone wrong? 🙁
(Oh, there’s so many sad face on…[Read more]

Okay, I just think about a movie. So, I will tell you now. Have you watch “Kubo and the two Strings”. This movie is origin from Japan but it is in English. It was the most thrilling and hair-standing cartoon-character movie I have ever seen. You should see it!!!

Hi guys, do you think it’s a bit sad for so MANY characters to die in a book? Plus the cliffhanger, it’s really terrible!!!! 🙁 🙁 🙁
Yes ikr.Rhian and Sophie? nooooooo. #waitingforbook5
I know!! Why Chaddick? And Millicent? And Lancelot? I think Lancelot was the saddest.
On EVERNEVERTV Soman said these characters may play a role in the fifth book!
