Summer can be REALLY hot so I would suggest Spring or Autumn late summer or early summer so May, March, April, late February, September, October or November. December isn’t too bad but the weather starts to pick up from there and the days are an average of 30-37 degrees on a normal summers day. Of course! Rocky Mountains are really cool. They have the best lakes. I’m a huge fan of Science World, which is in Vancouver. Probably just me! Stanley Park is also in Vancouver. There’s an Anne of Green Gables museum/place where it could have happened in Nova Scotia or New Brunswick. Not totally sure.

My grandma went to the museum-thing. She got me some really cool stickers.
I can’t believe you haven’t tried poutine. It’s basically French Fries (you’ve had those, right?) with gravy, and cheese curds. You can sometimes have meat in it.
And maple syrup is good. It’s a sweetener/topping/thing. You get it from the sap from maple trees. (That’s why: Canada!)

What kind of languages do you learn in Canada?

        fudgepop9 replied 2 years, 3 months ago

French and English are the two official languages. Since I speak English, we learn French. And if you speak French, you learn English.

          t-q-yun replied 2 years, 3 months ago

That’s interesting because I thought people in France learn French only!

I know Canada is not a very populated country (learn this from my Geography book last year!) , so it is filled with immigrants, right?

        fudgepop9 replied 2 years, 3 months ago

Yep. We have about 3.5 people per square kilometer.

          t-q-yun replied 2 years, 3 months ago

          Wow, that’s quite scarce!
Do you study like for a few hours a day? πŸ™‚
Because I have that habit to do so every day!

        fudgepop9 replied 2 years, 3 months ago

I don’t, but then I get good marks. We have about 6.5 hours of school, five days a week. And about 9 weeks off for summer vacation. It’s generally up to your parents to decide if they want you to study or not. Mine don’t tell me to, but one of my friends is learning Mandarin because her mom wanted her to!

          fudgepop9 replied 2 years, 3 months ago

Oh, and you get two other 2 week vacations, one around Christmas time, and one during spring.

          t-q-yun replied 2 years, 3 months ago

I have about 6 hours of school. And 9 weeks off?! That’s soooo long, my maximum number of successive holidays is 2 weeks, but we have 1.5 months holiday after our term end.

Oh, Mandarin is quite difficult to learn, I had trouble keeping up myself!

You have 4 seasons in your country?

        fudgepop9 replied 2 years, 3 months ago

Yes. I live in a very mild part of Canada, but in some places, weather is crazy! It’ll snow a foot in the winter, then reach 30 degrees (F) in the summer!

          t-q-yun replied 2 years, 3 months ago

Wow, that’s a big difference! You must have a fireplace in your house, right?

        fudgepop9 replied 2 years, 3 months ago

We do. It’s broken, which is super annoying, but before it broke, it was great! We have a fireplace for the winter, and an air conditioner for the summer.

          princessofaustralia24601 replied 2 years, 4 months ago

And yes, they are pretty adorable πŸ™‚ once I was in the bush, we stayed in a cute, cosy little cabin, and we were going into town. It was dusk, and on the long road we were on was surrounded with bush. Then a Kangaroo jumped out and scared the **** out of us!!! We hit the break in time tho πŸ™‚

        princessofaustralia24601 replied 2 years, 4 months ago

I’ve been to the Opera House, but it was a long time ago, so I don’t really remember it. We have a lot of immigrants here, but the language here since invasion a few centuries ago we have been speaking English, and you can learn lots of languages, but I learn Mandarin. πŸ™‚

          t-q-yun replied 2 years, 4 months ago

Hey, I know Mandarin too! πŸ™‚ In fact, in my country, my main language is mandarin and english. How long have you been learning Mandarin ?

          t-q-yun replied 2 years, 4 months ago

          Wow, is it difficult?
For me, I LOVE English so much that I didn’t have any time to see Mandarin novels !
          And question about your country:
What is the festivals (main one and the subs ) that Australians celebrate? πŸ™‚

        princessofaustralia24601 replied 2 years, 4 months ago

Well… Near where I live there is a Christmas festival, new years eve, and Australia day, which Aussie day is on a horrible date because it was when we took the lives and land of the Aborigines. Besides that, just the usual

          t-q-yun replied 2 years, 4 months ago

          What is Aborigines?

        princessofaustralia24601 replied 2 years, 4 months ago
