My Ranking Points
Here’s the next chapter of Magic! Go to my favourites to read the other chapters, I promise it will be worth it!. This will have spoilers from the original SGE series!!!! Constructive criticism is welcome and ask to be tagged if you want. I know this took so long and I’m sorry, I had rehearsals, performances and I have 4 tests and 3 projects due next week. That is of course not to mention the homework so thanks for understanding!
It was in between classes when it happened. Taylor was walking with Gryffin of Neverland to her next class. It wasn’t as bad as the attack earlier that day and it could have been an accident but Taylor couldn’t help but overthink it. She was too busy chatting for either of them to notice the candy chandelier loose. It began to shake as Taylor grew closer and finally unlatched. The gingerbread chandelier, pulled by gravity, ready to crush Taylor under its alarming weight. Students cried but Taylor and Gryffin kept moving.
“Taylor!” Someone screamed. Taylor of Avalon then felt a push and a flash of bright pink hair before she thudded flat on her back, winded. Jenna lying on top of her, Taylor gasped and there was a huge crack.
Gingerbread scattered all over, it’s smell not overpowering that of blood. It lay broken over another body. Taylor sat up, Jenna joined her. She shook her head and looked to where she was walking moments before. She heard a groan. For there was someone who wasn’t saved by a friend. Gryffin was crushed underneath the enormous decoration. The ever boys sword was no longer attached to his belt and the candy covered his ribs and face. An onlooker may not think a cookie would bring much harm but when Taylor advanced, in horror she saw what a falling object could do to a person, no matter its substance. Gryffin’s legs fell in an awkward position due to their unexpected fall. His hair peeked out between crumbles of the dessert like fire burning on wood. Other than this all of his upper body had been crushed by the heavy delicacy. Taylor crawled to him, wheezing and oblivious to the panic around her. She noticed the large (real metal) spike that held the pieces of cookie together.
She let out breath as she realized it had only gone through his arm, not torso and began to undig him from the disaster. In that moment she didn’t think of how random it was or that it might have to do with her. She only thought of unburying him.
Taylor was surprised at the weight of the pieces as she heaved them off Gryffins broken body. She grunted with every piece removed as tears began to emerge.
Uncovering his ribs first, then up to his handsome face, she began to hear the noises around her again. Teachers began to appear beside her, gasping and screaming, not doing much to help.
“Why is this happening?” A teacher asked in awe.
People began to shift the rocky cookie and that’s when Taylor began to tell herself that he would be fine…he’d be okay. Taylor put her hand on his cheek, trying not to touch the gashes caused by the rough shards. His eyes flickered open for a second and his icy blue eyes locked with the green. He smiled and whispered to the shocked princess.
“I’m okay.” He said simply. Taylor smiled with relief and barely felt a teacher grab her arm to pull her away. She caught one more look at him as his eyes closed tightly. He cried out as Professor Espada pulled the spike from his arm and his face softened, falling into an unconscious state.
Finally the soothing words of Professor Dovey drifted into her mind. Arm around hers Dovey soothed, “He’ll be fine my dear…”
Not far across the room, Rian pulled Ethan toward the scene. “He’ll be fine,” Ethan told Rian.
“But what if he’s not okay? What if that means we’re gonna die too?!” Rian panicked.
“You’re so paranoid.” Ethan said, rolling his eyes. He couldn’t deny that Rian was making him nervous even if he knew he was being crazy.
“It…was probably just an accident.” Ethan stuttered, but his foot began to tap.
“You are nervous!” Rian accused him.
“I’m-no…” Ethan replied, foot tapping faster.
“You only tap your foot when you’re nervous.” Rian continued.
“I’m fine cause I’m not…insane.” Ethan said, unconvincingly.
“So we can agree there’s no way it was a fluke.” Rian said, looking up at the blonde ever boy.
“Fine. Yes. But that doesn’t mean he’ll die…” Ethan said, watching Professor Dovey comfort the magic girl, surrounded by girls who were probably her friends.
“Was she the one who was attacked earlier today?” Ethan asked Rian.
“Well she wasn’t really attacked but-”
“Don’t get technical Rian, was that the girl?” Ethan interrupted.
“Ya,” Rian said.
“The same girl who defended us at dinner that one time?”
“The same girl who did the magic at the welcoming?”
“The same girl who was walking right beside Gryffin when the chandelier fell on him?”
“…What are you getting at?” Rian asked.
“Well…this is far fetched but…” Ethan began.
“You think she might have felt something too?” Rian finished.
Ethan hesitated for a second, wondering if he was thinking stupidly. “Ya,” He said.
They gazed at Taylor of Avalon Towers, ignoring the limp body being wheeled away from the hall.
“I think you might be right.” Rian said, still watching the suspect.
Across a crystal river and a mucky moat, surrounded by dormant gargoyles stood the School for Evil in which Nicola and Viktor were unaware of the “accident.”
Viktor tried hard to pay attention during Curses and Death Traps. Absorbing each piece of information like a dry sponge to water. Convinced he would do well in this class, he attempted to keep his mind from drifting to the strange things that happened only just earlier that day. This of course and the fact that Professor Sophie kept giving him lethal glares out of the corner of her eye, he wasn’t sure why though. He didn’t remember why she would be angry with him. Viktor didn’t remember ever talking to her at all.
He touched his face to see if anything vulgar was on it but all he felt was cold, rough skin that was no longer tanned and perfect like a prince. Shuddering at the memory of Uglification class, Viktor tried again to pay attention again. He refocused his eyes on Sophie and accidently locked eyes with her. He was awed at how Sophie would glare at him so intently and still lecture to no end about respecting the teacher.
Viktor’s eyes unfocused again, drifting back into his thoughts, like he was floating into a cloud, unfortunately that cloud was penetrated by the sound of Sophie’s voice growing louder.
“Like for example, when some people. Don’t. Pay. ATTENTION!” Sophie yelled.
Viktor jumped, so hard his frozen desk was 2 feet in front of him when he looked up at the teacher again.
“Sorry!” Viktor gasped.
Sophie gave a passive smile towards him.
“What makes you think I was talking to you? Were you not paying attention?” Sophie asked, in a voice that resembled an adult talking to a puppy.
Viktor knew she was talking about him in the first place but in the moment he was to flustered to notice. There was something about the Dean of Evil that was so terrifying for no reason at all.
“Yes…I mean…No? I mean…” Stuttered Viktor in response. “What was the question again?” He asked.
Sophie let out a small giggle of triumph and Viktor slouched in his seat, groaning. He hoped bitterly that the teachers seemingly meaningless hatred towards him wouldn’t affect his rank.
Nicola tapped her fingers on the desk, also having trouble paying attention in class. Running through her mind were ponderings such as Taylor’s weird behavior around Viktor. Did she know something Nicola didn’t? Was Viktor actually a better villain than them all?
The earlier “attack” on Taylor that came out of nowhere. Was a never hiding in the class?
Her strange transformation in Special Talents. Did her talent just magically unlock as soon as she came to the school?
What was with that pair of boys in The School for Good? And why did Taylor already know magic? And why was that ever so afraid of Viktor? And WHY DID HER CHEST GLOW?!
She realized she had been holding her breath and let it out in a loud breath that made some heads turn her way.
And why did it have to happen on the first day?
Nicola looked at the jet black orb sitting on her desk. She had brought it everywhere and kept it in sight to remind her to think about Wither’s proposal. She looked into the orb and its eternal darkness. Eternal, impossible, darkness. She squinted at it. Wondering when she would decide to shake it seven times. Nicola, however only planned to do that if something very bad happened, and in the meantime she hoped it would never come to that.
Thanks for reading!!! Who do you ship? What do you think will happen? Tell moi, I’m curious!
Sorry if I forgot anyone! Thanks for reading, seriously it means a lot <3 Remember! Constructive criticism is welcome!
Wow! Amazing! 🙂 I still ship Gryffin and Taylor <3 they are so cute! By the way I have a question since I am writing my first rp story: do you write all your chapters at once and post one each day or do write one every day? Thanks for the help if you answer this.
Thanks so much, I’m glad you like it and
I wrote the first 9 chapters then started posting them @kittybp2 then I continued by doing them every day but I do recommend writing multiple at a time because it makes things a lot less stressful. I actually asked the same question when I started mine! Btw tag me when you post it! I’m sure it’ll be great!
Yes, @kittybp2 please tag me when you post you first chapter, I would love to read it ^^. And I agree with what Taylor said, write a few chapters at once, so if you accidentally skip a day, you can still post, stress free
Ooooh….very interesting…. I hope Gryffin gets better soon, but I just REALLY want Ethan and Rian to finally get together with Taylor and figure out what that light meant….
This is great, @taylorofzenovia! I ship Taylor and Gryffn
Amazing chapter! Poor Gryffin! I still ship Rythian, but I now I also ship Taylor and Gryffin. Hm… I wonder what would be a good ship name… 🙂
