My Ranking Points
Okay so I said I’d make a post about book 4 trailer analysis and that I basically screenshotted each frame to look at them separately so here it is! If you’re too lazy to read it all now then FAVOURITE IT AND COME BACK!! OKAY LETS GET INTO IT!
Outlines of hands touching with watery/galaxy inside background: Probably Sophie and Agatha but this frame doesn’t seem as important other than the fact that it represents Agatha and Sophie’s unity in the new book. The emptiness of their body outline could represent their vulnerability especially when it zooms out to the next frame. (oR they’re just in Merlin’s cloak thing)
The big bearded body seems like Merlin and suggests that he’ll have a big role in this book but his emptiness and darkness suggests something going on with him. It could be a secret of his past or a secret of something to come. My first thought was that he knows he’s going to die somehow but doesn’t want to worry Tedros but that doesn’t really have anything to do with this.
The it goes to a large headshot of a man with a turban clearly royalty due to the castle and royal banners surrounding him WAIT is it a man though? At a second glance I saw defined eyelashes and more feminine shaped face so I’m not really sure about that part. There are two things in this frame that return at other times including the lions on the banner and the cards. The lions look like the kingdoms animal and the spinning cards hint at the (possibly evil) powers that the new character may have.
Then we swoop in on the Tedros, Agatha and Sophie cards. Each type of card corresponds with the character (Aggie and Sophie queens of heart and spade, Tedros king of hearts) and since the turban character from before looked like they were controlling the cards this suggests that this character is controlling their actions. This control is probably subtle or only is apparent near the end. Then Tedros card breaks apart which made me think that the turban guy is trying to take over or intimidate Tedros specifically. (The next frame with Teddy on the dock also made me think the same thing so I’ll skip that)
The sword in the frame with Teddy on the dock grows bigger which could mean that the weight of Tedros’ destiny/fate is taking a toll on him. Then it switches to a boat caught in a storm which we’ve seen on the book cover before. Most people say that it is from Beatrix’s quest but the swans on the boat are black and it is Sophie on the boat on the cover so this means Sophie is probably captain.
The quick flash of the sea headed Agatha makes me think she has a lot going on mentally and the pirate flag and coins confirm the appearance of pirates in the story. Then of course there was the ****** dead hand and the green eyed figure in the reflection of the blood which might mean there’s some person or monster going around killing lots of people or maybe just one plot twisty death.
Later we see Sophie with chains where her heart is which could means she is closing off her heart cause she’s afraid that loving someone romantically (Hort) will make her want to kill her friends again or just internal struggles. Then we see the lion lock which can be linked to the previous turban character from before. Maybe a secret the character has. Then we see a snake in the crown. The crown has the same detailing on it as the banner in the turban character frame has. This could symbolise that the ruler of that kingdom could be a “snake” that can mean the character is evil because snakes are usually associated with cunning, plotting, powerful people.
Thanks for reading! Tell me what you think!
That was COOL and LONG and ACCURATE I think!
I think any character that has GREEN GREEN GREEN eyes is probably Sophie, coz – well you know.
But I agree with pretty much all of that!!!!!
