hello! I don’t know if anyone’s going to see this, but if you’re reading this right now, hi! sorry for not being active, but I need help.
I’m picking my GCSE options in February or March (I can’t remember which because I’m really bad with remembering dates XD) and I really can’t decide which ones to do. we have to take maths, English, science and RS (religious studies) and then we can choose four other subjects to take, but I don’t know which ones I want to do! my mum wants me to choose Spanish, but I really don’t want to do that 🙁 I know that I definitely want to take music, history and geography, but geography is supposed to be really hard, and I don’t know if I’ll be able to do both History and Geography anyway as I have to take RS. I also want to take media studies, but there’s a limited amount of spaces for that so there’s no guarantee I’ll get in.
if you’ve read this far, thank you! help or advice would be very much appreciated 🙂💙

Hey gracie! Honestly, I think you should do the four that you want, as long as you’re allowed! Doing what you want to do will mean you’re more interested in those subjects and will do better. Don’t pick spanish just because your mom wants you to. Don’t not do geography just because it’s supposed to be hard. Do the ones that you like the most! I missed youuuu!

Hewo Gracie. Me too, I need help! I’m choosing at the same time as you are and I have no idea what to do! We have to take Maths, English and 2-3 Sciences as well as up to two humanities (;History, Geography or REP) and either French or Spanish. Then we get to pick two extras. FOr my languages I’m definitely going to be choosing Spanish and for my extras I’m choosing Art and possibly Music? I’m not sure… The music GCSE seems hard.. And then I have no idea if I want to choose Geography or History. History is more essays and comparisons whereas geography is more individual questions. My teacher says you need to learn the same amount of stuff for each of them but.. I’m not sure.. What’ve your school told you? Also, I’m just doing the ones I feel like… WEll… Ugh.. Why is this so confusing?!
