My Ranking Points
How do you earn points
Copied from the “Report Card” section of an account: “At the School for Good and Evil, students were assigned ranking points depending on how well they did in certain class activities. Here on our online community, you can earn ranking points, too! New members automatically start out with 200, and you earn additional points each time you perform a certain task.
200 points = For new members
15 points = For commenting on a blog post*
10 points = For each day you visit
0 points = For each comment in the Common Room
*Note that you earn 15 points only for the first comment on any given blog post – you do not earn points for additional comments on the same post. One-word and/or otherwise “empty” comments made on old posts to boost your point count will be deleted, any points earned will be revoked, and an extra penalty point deletion may apply.
So, what do the points earn you? Well, to start, our top 5 students with the most points will be featured on the homepage’s leaderboard. Additionally, the top 25 students will be featured on the leaderboard found on the right side of this page.
But that’s not all – those points? You can actually use them. Going forward, we will occasionally put up special content on the blog that will require our students spend points to access it. For example, we may post a video on the blog a day before it goes live on EverNever TV and let you spend the points to see it early. Don’t worry, though—if you don’t have enough points, all of the content will eventually be made public, you’ll just have to be willing to wait.
Wondering how you can earn some extra credit? Keep an eye on the “Special Assignments” area below, where we will occasionally have ways of getting bonus ranking points, from participating in contests on the blog to answering pop quiz questions and more.”
