My Ranking Points
Alex jogged up to Sarah as soon as their last class before lunch ended. “Hey,” he said, appearing on her left, “any luck recruiting new students?”
She jumped, apparently startled, but quickly recovered and shook her head. “None so far. You?”
“Nada. I think I actually kind of underestimated the power Kamaria has over the students here. The thing is she always warns of punishments that await people who defy her but she never exactly states what these punishments are.”
Sarah nodded in agreement. “Exactly. All we know is that whatever it is, it’s bad. It’s the fear of the unknown that keeps the students under her thumb. Maybe that’s how it is for the old teachers and wolves and fairies as well.”
They met the others at Table 10 for lunch, Alex quickly recanting his and Sarah’s unsuccessful attempts to recruit people to the group. Aoibh frowned.
“The first years are tricky because they don’t know much else but Kamaria. Unlike the old School Master she’s very involved in the students lives, especially the younger ones. She knows everything about everyone here. No wonder people are scared.”
“I think we’re going to have to go with the group we have assembled for the time being,” Alex said, “at least until we find a way to weaken Kamaria’s grip on the students.”
Kaz nodded. “Right. So…now what?”
Sorry this isn’t great. I wasn’t too sure on where to go with the 15 plot.
great! I’ll probably post a chapter later today
Thanks for sharing! I was going to write a POV trying to to get the story farther but I’ve had a lot going on.
