Hello Mr. Chainani, (Hey-yo!)
I am curious and therefore have a quick question (hence the reason I am posting this here…).
Are the names Sophie and Clarissa references to Meryl Streep?
I know she starred in both Sophie’s Choice as well as in The Hours (in while ch she played Clarissa Vaughan).
I might as well lay down some other things t…[Read more]
I’m thinking of looking into becoming a novelist. The following questions might help me decide if writing is really the right career for me. However, these questions are a bit personal, so you do not have to answer them if you do not feel comfortable in doing so.
I was wondering:
1. Do you have a certain writing process?
2. How do you d…[Read more]
I’m obviously no Soman, sorry, but I think I might be able to answer your 4th question.
I think Soman once mentioned that Wwhen Soman first started writing novels, it was not his main/full-time job. He had another job then. But as his books gained popularity, novel writing became his full time job.
At least that’s what I think. I’m not sure if…[Read more]
I just had an idea!!!! Maybe Lara Pulver could play the role of Lady Lesso (the actress she’s young – 38 – but I think she could make it work!
I think Helena Bonham Carter would be a good choice for Lady Lesso. I have no idea who the other actress is, so I can’t compare
Okay… so I know Hophie is a TOXIC relationship… but that is my favorite Sophie ship 🙂
Just to think that Hort actually loved her (or her hair…) from the moment they met despite the fact that they were villains 😊
Though, I sort of think Sophie will end up alone because she was fine with being alone at the end of TLEA but then went boy…[Read more]
All of these picks are based off of the actor’s physical appearances, not necessarily off of their acting abilities.
Agatha: Maisie Williams reminds me of Agatha in GOT. I think she could pull off a teenage look…. If not her, maybe the girl who was Agatha in the QFG trailer. Willow Shields might be a good pick too if she wore a wig or dyed her h…[Read more]
For the ones that I said “I don’t know” to, I think the QFG actors could take in that role (if they act, that is).
I think Angelina Joliet should play lady lesson because she already played a villain role, and Maleficent gives me the lady lesson vibe
This cast is pretty good… But I imagined Evelyn more like Emma Watson and Michelle Pffiefer
Now I’m considering Raquel Cassidy for Lady Lesso… :/
Or Angelina Jolie…
Or Lana Parrilla…
Or Helena Bonham Carter….
:/ :/ :/ :/ 🙂
My top picks are Raquel Cassidy or Cate Blanchett 🙂
I FOUND A ONCE UPON A TIME REFERENCE IN BOOK 5!!! (Sorry that this was in all caps… I was excited)
It’s in the chapter “What Makes Your Heart Beat?” and it refers to the third episode of the sixth season.
“For tonight, [Rumpelstiltskin] is my fairy godmother… father…? Whatever!” Ella (episode three of season 6).
Bogden says some similar words on page 321 of book 5:
“‘So Merlin is your fairy godmother?’ said Bogden. “Or father. Or whatever.’”
SPOILERS: DON’T READ IF YOU HAVEN’T READ TLEA (unless you want it spoiled)
Hi! I just wanted to share a strange thought that I had….
So, in the chapter where Sophie touches the statue and breaks out in a rash(?), Manly tells Sophie that her love for Rafal has inspired many, teachers included. At this time, he is with Lady Lesso. The ran…[Read more]
Do you all want to create a group that makes theories about minor characters?
Sounds good! 🙂
How about we just tag each other when we post new “minor-character theories”?
I noticed that too and it was like *** because in the end they didn’t end up together…but it was cute anyways
Oh, and good job @everneveragathasophie for spotting it too. 🙂
These tiny details make the stories so much more interesting (not to say that they were boring).
Hi Soman/Mr. Chainani/Great Wise One, or anyone else who is reading this,
This isn’t a question, but I wanted to share that I found a Madonna reference in book 3! 🙂
Okay…. That’s all.
I just wanted to share this with other people who like SGE (okay… “like” is an understatement for some people *cough* me *cough*).
In book three, of the chapters is called “Rebel Hearts” which, I think, refers to Madonna’s album Rebel Heart (I would underline the title but I can’t in this website).
Hi again! I don’t know if this is necessary, but I made a bio for the Curses and Death Traps professor 🙂
This is only a suggestion, we don’t have to use it.
Name: Alvah Hecate
Species: witch/black cat
Age: Her specific age is undetermined. But it’s been said that she’s taught at SGE for a little more than 50 decades. Many fi…[Read more]
Talent/power: especially skilled in magic; can turn into a black cat for as long as she wants (though it takes a lot of control to be able to do so)
Here is my second bio.
Name: Cana of Foxwood
Fairy tale: Cinderella (Lady Tremaine)
Appearance: stringy brown hair that falls just above her shoulders; ice blue eyes; 5’ 5” in height; moderately thin; wears mostly rags when not wearing her uniform.
Backstory: Cana grew up in the poor part of Fox…[Read more]
Cool, but we need her se*xual orientation, power, weapon and finger glow colour.
Oopsie! Wow… I GOTTA REMEMBER THIS STUFF!
Finger glow: lavender
Talent: she can find your weakness and use it as a weapon against you
Weapon: your weaknesses
