My Ranking Points
Welcome back to Beautification/Uglification! Before we start, there’s something I forgot to do for our first class. Before your response to today’s challenge, please put your nicknames/what you would like me to call you and your preferred pronouns + gender. Thanks!
Today’s challenge is inspired by @SOPHIESWAY and her comment on the previous class’ post. She requested that this class cover more the thought of beauty than what people consider beauty to actually be now, and I thought that was a good idea.
Today’s challenge is to post what you think the real meaning of beauty is. Doesn’t have to be physical or a ****** attribute. Anything you think fits the definition of beauty. Ranks will be awarded based on how meaningful your reply was. Have fun!

I think true beauty is defined by your choices, and your thoughts on others. (This means that you chose to do genuine things. I believe beauty is accepting yourself, and others, while also caring about the world around you. This can be defined by something as simple as compassion towards others, or giving a helping hand. I feel true beauty is the beauty of someone’s soul. You could be gorgeous on the outside, but hate the world around you, and view yourself better then everyone else. There are so many things that define ‘beauty’ in our society, and all of it is about appearance. Being beautiful can mean so many things, it’s often hard to find where you fit. In conclusion; I think true beauty is the beauty of your heart, and soul, which can be defined through your choices, and how you view yourself, the world, and others.
I forgot to add a few quotes that I felt applied to this question.
1. Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself. – Coco Chanel
2. The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart. – Helen Keller
3. Look first for honesty in a smile, not beauty. – JH Hard
Angel, female, she/her
I think beauty is about who you are on the inside and how you treat others. It’s so beautiful to see people genuinely be loving to others and make each other feel comfortable and like every person belongs. It doesn’t matter how beautiful you are on the outside; it’s what’s on the inside that counts.
I think the real meaning of beauty is how beautiful you are in your mind and soul. Just because you’re pretty on the outside, doesn’t mean that you’re better than people who are kinder than you. You might not be the best looking person, but if you are kind and caring and helpful to others, you deserve to be called beautiful. The kindness that you share with others permeates outward, and you will seem beautiful on the outside as well as the inside. People look at what is on the inside before they judge you, and the inside is what actually matters, regardless of what you look like on the outside. Kindness in your heart and soul can make you much more loving and beautiful than any cold heartless person. Not many look at the inside and call it ‘beauty’ but the inner beauty is what makes you hang on to your kindest friends and makes you lean away from cold people even if they are beautiful on the surface.
I realize that my words are rather similar to other peoples’ answers, and I’m sorry about that. I promise I didn’t copy anyone. 😊
Beauty. A fickle thing on the outside. But on the inside, beauty can be powerful. Beauty is being yourself, because what makes someone beautiful is their personality and their opinions. Beauty is embracing your flaws, because ugliness and beauty are like love and hate: so different, yet so similar. Your flaws make you, and you make beauty. Beauty is accepting others, because one can only be beautiful after seeing someone else in that same way too. We are all beautiful, because we are all ourselves. But beauty does not define who we are.
I know it might sound cliche to say this, especially in this class, but, that was beautiful.
You can just call me Pranaya I guess I don’t really have a nickname,. Girl, she/her. (you can choose one for me if you like)
Beauty. When you think of beauty, what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Most will just say looking good right after you wake up (not an easy task, I must say) or for some ,it’s wearing tons of makeup to look like a model. Being skinny, maybe?
But for some pure souls , beauty is something within. Deeper than makeup and a pretty smile. It is found deep in the heart. Where you cannot hide your true beauty. It doesn’t take long to decide whether someone is beautiful on the inside, just a matter of a few days. You can realize that even the prettiest of people can be the evilest, and ugliest can be the purest of souls. When you put makeup on to look pretty , you’re basically just covering up your real beauty, who you are on the inside. Your flaws make you beautiful. Your insecurity is your strength. Embrace it, and you’ll be the most beautiful person in the universe.
One of my favourite quotes encapture what I mean..
“Only when you destroy who you think you are can you embrace who you truly are”..
Also, can I add some more points-
Pretty’s on the inside. If you don’t meet the standard of being called”beautiful”, it doesn’t mean you aren’t kind or could be a better person than the one who is. Being ‘beautiful’ doesn’t define who we are. It’s what we are on the inside.
Hi! You can call me Shadow and for now (until I have it all figured out) I like’d you to use the pronouns she/her.
So I’m supposed to describe Beauty? Well, let me start with perspective. Everyone has a different perspective about beauty. Beauty comes in so many different ways, it just depends on what you think of it. Some people think that looks are beauty, someone says it’s whats on the inside that counts as beauty, but all in all beauty is just how you see it. Like how mother love their children no matter what they look like, because those children are theirs, and because they love them and because of that their looks don’t matter. So you know what I think Beauty is? It’s perspective. If your mean to everyone and selfish, people won’t see your looks anymore, they’ll see what you are. But family will still love you because you’re blood, so you’ll always have some sort of beauty with them.
As someone said, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” In my opinion Beauty is how you percieve it. Whether it’s looks or personality or what you think of them that is beauty, that’s what you percieve, and that’s beauty to you. Beauty is different for each person so you can’t say that beauty has one definition, it has so many different ones depending on what percieve is beauty. Everything is all about perspective when I think of beauty. Because while a snake may seem majestic to me, it could be disgusting for my sister. So beauty is all about perspective.
I think true beauty is who you are not the way you look. It’s what on the inside that counts, shore you might look beautiful on the outside but you might have a personality as beautiful as the creachers of the trench from Aquaman. How we look on the outside doesn’t change who we are on the inside and even if you don’t live up to the “beauty” standard just remember that you are beautiful no matter what.❤️
There’s outer beauty, which is not only your looks but includes your manners, grace, charm, and confidence. Beauty comes from believing in yourself with confidence. There is also inner beauty, which is what your personality is like and how you treat other people, like being kind and loving toward others.
I don’t think there really is a ‘right way’ to think about beauty. I know some people say that beauty only matters if it’s on the inside, but I have to disagree there. It’s ok to like to feel ‘pretty’, and it’s true that some people look nicer than others, and there’s nothing we can do about that. I think that true beauty means being able to accept what you look like and not trying to obsessively change your looks. People have looked different since the beginning of time, and it’s not a crime to think of yourself as beautiful on the outside.
In this comment I will talk about two forms of beauty and what beauty means.
Firstly, the scientific meaning of beauty and what is beautiful. Our human bodies have loved beauty and appreciated it since the dawn of times. We as humans back in our early stages often chose tools and rocks based on their shape and symmetry. We often chose our stones and tools and sharpened them to be symmetrical. Beauty releases a happiness chemical called dopamine which may be one of the leading factors in why we did this. Did you know a research study was conducted to discover if people could tell the difference between most real modern art and fakes? People naturally chose the real ones and believed them to be real without any hints. They simply looked at the paintings and were attracted to the artful symmetry.
Pt2 The feelings and meanings of beauty in our modern day life. Beauty is a hard thing to describe, it is a mere name or tag for a item, picture or really anything that looks and attracts us. While most think of beauty as makeup, slim waist, curviness and more real beauty is different. Everyone is beautiful even if they don’t know it, yes you @blondieonfire . Beauty can be described as a shot of scenery or a nice sculpture but it can also be something mentally. A beautiful story can touch us in the hearts deeper than any sculpture, shot, or item. A beautiful story about love or revival or anything that connects with us is. Beauty can be defined by all the things we do, the activities and memories that make up US. Beauty is us and everything we are and do.
i cant exactly do the classes cause of schoolwork at home but can you please still tag me because i might find time to do the stuff
many thanks ANADILISAWESOME76
i’m really sorry about this, but i don’t think i can make time for classes anymore, since i just started online school. i am really sorry and sad to go, but i really can’t find time. please untag me. 🙁
Beauty is defined by your actions and deeds; no matter what you look like, your true soul is bound to show up on your face.
Society tells us that beauty has certain qualities and requirements. White teeth, perfect skin, smooth hair, to name a few. But really, I think beauty comes from acceptance. Showing that you have the courage and strength to accept all people is beautiful to me. Accepting the quirks and traits of other’s is beautiful. And, accepting yourself. Everyone is beautiful, whether you know it or not. Embrace yourself, embrace both the good and the bad. People are beautiful not from a material standpoint, but how their mind works.
(Eliot don’t you dare use this against me)
Although, this isn’t the only way one can feel beautiful. Doing things for yourself, like buying a new clothing item that makes you feel cute, doing a face mask, and getting a good night’s sleep all make me feel more beautiful. But helping an older person, going to a fundraiser, or donating to a charity make me feel beautiful as well.
So, in short, beauty can mean many things, depending on the person. Although, the main point is, beauty is love, of others and yourself.
‘Beauty is in the eye of the beholder’ – Margaret Wolfe Hungerford
This age-old saying is something I agree with wholeheartedly.
Not too long ago, society had much different standards for beauty. Pale skin, blonde hair, teeny-tiny waists. Nowadays anyone and everyone can be beautiful. The curvy-girl in math class? Beautiful. The freckled, red-haired lunch lady? Beautiful. That one grandmother from Walmart walking with her grandson? Beeeaaautiful.
I say beauty is in the eye of the beholder because, as much as we don’t like that fact, it is. The **** in science? He may like the smart shy girl in the corner, why? Because she’s beautiful to him. She’s intelligent and kind. She may be outwardly **** but inside, she is beautiful. It can go the other way too, sadly. The rebel-emo girl who sat across from you at lunch? She might like the pretty, popular cheerleader girl. The cheerleader may be shallow and empty headed but the rebel-emo girl might just like her for her looks. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
True beauty comes from what’s inside. You might not be pretty on the outside but as long as you are on the inside, that’s all that matters, right? You also need to accept you for who you are. It took me a looooong time to do so. I used to think I was **** and should go die in a hole. The people around me helped me realize that I’m not ****, inside or out. It’s helped me improve and grow in some places. It also helped me appreciate the things that I may not have. I started to take off the glasses the blinded me from seeing underneath outward beauty. It helped me show how beautiful and amazing I am on the inside. I hope you find your inner beauty and accept it as yours. YOU are the only YOU on this planet. Only you can choose if you want to be the best YOU inwardly and outwardly.
I love you all, you are all beautiful in your own special ways,
I think beauty is what invokes the most positive emotion in yourself and in others, but less pressingly. If you make a joke and everyone thinks it’s hilarious and laughs, that is beautiful. If you work ******* how you look just for yourself or just for the sake of it and you’re happy with yourself, then that is beautiful. If you give someone you love a big hug because you love them, then you’ll both be happy, and that’s beautiful.
If you do something you hate purely for someone else’s sake, that is not beautiful. If you spend a long time on your appearance because you don’t want to be made fun of, that isn’t beautiful. If you skip a meal because you think you should be skinnier, that is not beautiful.
Beauty is what makes you happy. If you’re happy, it shines through your face. If you allow yourself to be happy, you allow yourself to be beautiful.
Beauty is happiness. beauty is love. Beauty is being yourself and loving it. Beauty isn’t have soft pink lips of straight blond hair or silky smooth skin, or looking perfect. Beauty is embracing your flaws but loving them. show yourself that you ARE beautiful. Show the world that everyone is beautiful in their own way, even if you don’t look like a model. even if they say your ug.ly because of you messy hair. Even If they say you are gross because you don’t look like a Cover Girl. Because being yourself is beauty.
I think true beauty is on the inside, and it cannot be seen. There is no true definition of what beauty looks like because everyone is beautiful in their own way. Beauty is kindness. As Kahlil Gibran once said: ‘Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart.’ This is a really lovely quote and it’s true. Objects and things can be beautiful too. Beautiful people make other people feel good about themselves because beauty can not be seen, it can be felt. True beauty is on the inside, not the outside.
Thanks for reading 🙂
Thank you everyone for the submissions so far! There’s one small extra assignment I’m adding on. Please just quickly comment and tell @blondieonfire that she’s beautiful or amazing or something along those lines. Because she’s great. And she doesn’t know.
Luc, you are great I can see how happy you make people here. You are wonderful and fun, and you make great stir frys (hehehe Cats’ class)
@blondieonfire you’re so amazing; I don’t know you but you must be such an amazing person if your friends care about you so much <3
Blondie, there are so many things to say about you. You are so amazing and such an awesome friend. You are perfect by being imperfect and you’re a beautiful masterpiece!! Never let anyone pick on you because of your flaws or your so called ‘weaknesses’ because those are what help make you, you. So I’m glad to say you are an amazing, loyal, and a great friend. And even if you can’t see your great, we will for you.
” To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself.” – Unknown
True beauty is accepting yourself for who you are. To accept yourself you don’t need make-up, or face cream. or flawless hair. You need to know who you truly are. Knowing who you truly are and accepting that is truly beautiful.
There’s to many things to say about Blondie that my lazy fingers can’t type, but to put it all in a short sentence; Luc, you are amazing. You are cared for by so many people on the site, and I’ve had so many fun times with you. Like when we were doing the “Secrets Unrevealed” roleplay with Ginny and HJ. That was the best, and you helped contribute so much to it. You’re fun and awesome and a bunch of other things all worked together into one super person that is you.
Lucy is an amazing friend. I haven’t known her for very long to be able to saw much, but I know she is a great person to be around.

Love you too, Lucy. You deserved to know how awesome you are.
Thank you everyone for your submissions! Today is the last day for this assignment, which means the door is closed for responses. I also have a question- should I do something similar to what I did with Blondie, where one person is the focus of the class (along with the challenge, as well) and we give them some support?
