Salutations! Welcome to The Invisible Bridge and the Pine Glen!
Here are the rules if you don’t already know them:
You enter the trial with one handkerchiefs, (which I will also call flags) a small dagger, and whatever your talent is! This flag will be on your right ankle or foot and should stay there, unless someone steals and drops it, or you do. In this case, you’ll lose 3 points. The player who dropped your flag gains 3 points. If you lose your flag, you’ll be stuck watching the action for 12 hours. After that, your free to join any area of the forest you’d like and resume playing.
In order to eliminate another player, you need to make an attack and obvious grab for their flag, then wait for them to respond! If the other person counters in a way that prevents your original attack, you must begin again with a new offensive, and letting them respond. The judges will decide whether the elimination is valid, and if not, both of you will be sent to random places in the forest, decided by the Wheel of Where.
You only get one dagger to begin the trial, but you can win cool stuff like swords and health potions as well as points when the judges spin the Wheel of Who and the Wheel of Wonders! You earn 2 points for using your gift, or some of the gifts are simply points themselves.
But we also use the Wheel of Who to decide who gets trapped next. Speaking of traps, if you get caught in one, a judge will tag you with a cipher to solve. (Google form didn’t go so well last year.) If you get it right, you’re free to rejoin the trial and get 4 points. If not, you cannot rejoin until 24 hours later and will lose 3 points.
Don’t kill anyone.
This year, there will be multiple posts to represent different areas of the forest, each hosted by different judges. (We’ll all be around but it divides up the notifications a bit. ) You’ll find them all in your mentions. When you enter a new area, state that you have entered and let everyone know when you’re leaving to avoid confusion please. And if you know how to do bold font, please use it.
PG language please!
Not really a rule, but try to keep arguments to a minimum. The judges have a different, hopefully more judicial system of deciding whether moves and eliminations follow the rules. ( We actually didn’t have to use it last year so that was nice.) Instead of talking through every dispute among ourselves and the competitors, we’re just going to look at the disputed comment and anonymously vote on our judging/commentary doc. Hopefully that will simplify all our problems.
Another “not rule” but another new addition to the trial. This year we’re having a Sport Award! The trial is all about putting up a good fight, playing fair, and having fun. So the judges will nominate 3 Evers and 3 Nevers that have played a good game, regardless of how many points they scored. To our friends at the picnic, you get the final say who wins, so pay attention!

*I climb a tree, and hide myself in the foliage, positioning my self so that when someone else comes along, I can launch myself at them*
TRAP TIME AGAIN
*The tree erupts into the flames, more smoke filling the air*
*I run through my lungs filling with smoke. I quickly dive behind a tree, careful not to touch it, and pull my shirt up over my nose and mouth trying not to cough*
(I am not currently here, but I am commenting for notifications).
*I walk in from the carnivorous shrubs to the pine Glen and see Ray on the ground coughing, I use my talent to surround her in a whirlpool of hot water, getting hotter by the second*
*I lay eerily in the tree, slumped over. I feel like I’m about to puke. I look down and see @/princezzdots kerchief hanging out of her boot. I muster up enough strength to jump out of the tree, and land on my feet. I shield my mouth with my cloak again, trying to get the smoke out of my lungs, and crawl towards her feet.*
*I fall and decide that I wasn’t going to win this. I eye a rock on the ground and muster up enough strength to use my power. The rock flies to my hand and I throw it while sprinting away, to cause distraction. I keep running and running until I make it to…*
Why hello there!
*I smile and wave, a wave comping beneath me to give me higher ground*
Here let’s change this conversation in a different activity because rn I’m supposed to be at the cyan caves.
I think it’s best to restart the three comments, since you’re chasing her into the cyan caves now, and that’s a different post. Just less confusing.

I can try to find it. The cyan caves are in Cats’ activity.
