My Ranking Points
As Ebony and Iris clutched each other in fear, the shadowed figure slowly approached the two girls, hood lowered over their darkened face. A trembling hand moved slowly up and pulled back the hood revealing… a pale face with astonishingly bright blue eyes, shining like like beacons in the middle of her face. “I wasn’t expecting you to come,” said Guinevere quietly. “You surprised me,” Her eyes traveled over them searchingly. Her eyebrows went up slightly when she came to to their arms, still entwined around each other but otherwise showed no other signs of emotion. Ebony and Iris let go of each other hurriedly and awkwardly shifted apart. “You are very unlike any other Nevers I’ve met. Not many would do a favour for an Ever,” she mused. “Apart of course, from my Aunt Sophie. She is very different from other Nevers” she added. “You may know who she is? She’s your Dean actually. It’s a bit weird seeing your auntie at school of course, but I suppose I’ll get used to it!” She laughed. Ebony noted to herself that all her regallness had suddenly vanished and she wondered why this was. Guinevere caught her looking and said ” As you may have noticed all my princessy stuff is put on. Underneath, I’m just a normal girl. The only reason I do that is well, people expect me to be so regal and posh and stuff and I don’t want to disappoint them,” In truth, Ebony and Iris were getting a bit bored of this conversation and they started to zone out a little. Suddenly, Iris, who had been slumped against the wall, sat up, with a worried expression on her pale face. “Ssshhhhh!!” she said. “I can hear something,” Sure enough, when all three girls were quiet and listening hard, they could hear the distant sound of echoing footsteps. They all shot to their feet and teared down the sewers, goop slopping everywhere. Once out, they rushed their seperate ways. Guinevere to the Good castle, glittering pink, and Ebony and Iris to the Evil castle, looming black. Ebony glanced back when she was nearly back and saw Guinevere mouth “Tell no one,” Then she caught sight of a Good teacher, eyes narrowed, scanning for the troublemakers and she whirled back round, vanishing into the safety of the Evil castle.
